Shakey's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Bacoor

Went here to claim free pizza from Giftaway. Nobody greeted me until after a minute upon entering, as the staff seemed too busy speaking with each other. The people I spoke with seemed unhappy that my presence interrupted their little talk, and were quite dismissive when I asked questions about the free pizza, like the flavors I can choose from, the size, etc. Upon placing the order, nobody offered me to sit down while waiting for the pizza, as other restaurants would have. Can't help but compare since F&B personnel in the PH are almost always hospitable. Not demanding for them to be perky but they felt outright hostile and unwelcoming.

Ordered a couple more pizzas via Foodpanda pickup when I was told the free pizza was very small and the flavor I wanted wasn't included in the choices because Foodpanda prices were a lot lower than the in-store menu.

Went to the Watsons across this branch to buy something, and the pizzas were ready when I came back. Two other staff who were friendlier saw me out and one even opened the door for me. They each deserve a star for their service, while the other two don't.

Advantages: it's near my place, abt 4km; delivery option saves me time & gas; crew often times respond quickly now; quality dishes (for a diner, that is) & pricing just right for the serving sizes. Disappointments: cooling system needs overhauling or proper maintenance (noticed already defective long time ago but I guess, it's the Mall's responsibility!); upholstery of couches already musty & need to be replaced or sanitized, at least; bill out still taking longer, though improved (but it's Shakey's trademark, isn't it?); sanitization or pest control already needed to drive away mosquitoes! Personally, I still long for the original flavor of its fried chicken (salty & peppery), back when their parlors still have live rock bands, pizzas taste like pizza & "Shandy" is overflowing! It's not there anymore, but idk why I keep...

We dine in this restaurant often ever since prior to the pandemic days and we loved it. Alot have changed since then. Restaurant is very understaffed now that you could see on the faces of the crew/staff that they are overworked that they have no more energy to smile or be courteous to customers. We waited for our take out order for over an hour to the point my initial happy conversation with my wife reduced to checking the time and rolling off our eyes due to long wait time. Then at the end of it all we got disappointed to the taste of every food we order that wasnt it used to be. We will never go back...
