Urban Seoul Restaurant — Restaurant in Baguio

Our recent visit to Urban Seoul Restaurant around 8:30 PM on July 29, 2025 for a karaoke session left much to be desired due to unclear policies and staff misinformation.

We booked a karaoke room for P1,300, which included P1,000 in consumables and one hour of karaoke use. We ordered two ramyeon, a bowl of potato chips, one gimbap, and calamari, totaling approximately P750.

After our initial hour, we opted for an extension, paying an additional P300. It was at this point that issues arose. I inquired with the cashier about our remaining P1,000 consumable credit, and she indicated we still had a balance. Based on this, I ordered two more gimbap, costing P200.

However, after placing the order, the cashier then informed us that we could no longer use the remaining consumable credit because our initial hour had expired. She attributed this misinformation to a new waiter who had reportedly "forgotten" to inform us of this crucial policy.

This experience was frustrating and felt like a bait-and-switch. It's essential for a business to have clear policies communicated upfront, and for all staff, new or experienced, to be properly trained on these guidelines. I urge Urban Seoul Restaurant to improve its service and implement comprehensive staff training to prevent similar misunderstandings for...

This used to be one of my all-time favorite restaurants back around 2021. It was our family’s go-to samgyup spot whenever we were craving Korean food, and I’d always recommend it to my friends too. Sadly, I can’t say the same anymore. The quality of both the food and service has noticeably gone downhill.

The beef cuts didn’t seem fit for grilling, and the potato marbles didn’t taste good or even look appetizing. The self-service area also lacked serving utensils. I had to grab one for every side dish I wanted which was inconvenient. On top of that, our orders got mixed up, and the staff didn’t clearly communicate their policies. We only found out later that there was an extra charge if the pork came from the kitchen instead of the self-service area, which honestly should’ve been mentioned from the start.

Overall, it’s disappointing to see how much this place has changed from what it used to be. My last 2 experiences eating here were not good at all. Never...

Food is ok naman but the drinks selection is not great. No cocktails or drinks offered, just pure alcohol (like 1.2L of tequila or an entire bottle of whiskey). No other things offered din naman para mag mix ng sariling drinks.

Service was poor. I think factor din na stressed ang staff kasi may nagpaparty but they were curt in their replies to us to keep to our room (“Puedeng sa loob nalang po para di makaistorbo sa iba”) which felt unnecessary. Service took ages (like an ice bowl took 15-20 mins to be provided kasi naubusan ng ice) and the food also took long to be completed. Some drinks that we ordered were also not served in the end.

The microphones for karaoke were malfunctioning. One of the tables sa room was wobbly and kulang ang seats. The aircon was not that cool din naman and the restroom isn’t great either....
