Why Am I rating them a 1 you ask? Well #1.) I was a waiter for 5 years, and have opened many restaurants. SO I KNOW QUITE A BIT ABOUT THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS 2.) First off no one greeted us after the host sat us. 3.) after 15 minutes we didn’t understand why no one came to take our order or answers questions that we may have. I said let’s close the menus so that the signal we are ready to order is evident. So another 5 minutes went by. I could say more but we had to flag anyone we could see to get some help? Do they want our business? We didn’t have guns on the table or masks over our heads. So the girl came we ordered Beef ribs , pork ribs to share among us. With salad brown rice and mash potatoes. Well after the prescribed wait time (usually about 2 minutes) to give your customer time to eat some and go to ask if everything is ok, but those case never happened. As it turned out. Ok about the food; The beef was filled with tendons super fatty and super tough to chew of which it just looked really disgusting. The pork ribs were overdone, the meat never fell off the bones like it should have as well as being super tough. We couldn’t even cut it off with a steak knife properly. The waitress who said her name was …. Advised not to say her name. still never asked us how things were, even the food sat there still filling the plate's. Do you get the idea yet? The salad , was good, the mashed potatoes w gravy and the brown rice very acceptable to eat also. But the food still sat there while “Princess” was cleaning the table but still never asked how things were? Talaga? Omg Ooooooo. So now I’m supposed to pay $65 for food that was obviously about the lowest grade of food possible while we are getting robbed basically. Why do people sit so quiet and don’t stand up for themselves that the quality is bad I want my money back? I never got my money back nor did they care one iota. This waitress expected a tip? When we were so neglected? This is not an exaggeration. As my wife politely scolded “…. “near the beginning about leaving us sit there for so long. I also felt like I needed to try and nicely educate her about when customers close their menus it is beyond time to approach the table. Absolutely stand up for yourself whenever not getting decent service , and when the food is absolutely caca. This is SO backwards, DO NOT GO THERE EVER. DEMAND GOOD SERVICE AND DEMAND QUALITY FOOD. ALL OF US WoRK HARD FOR OUR MONEY. And should be able to get quality food and service for our money. This restaurant should be shut down they are so bad. But eventually people will see how bad this restaurant is. And will go out of business Unless they change their their attitude and realize give good service with great food is necessary for their business to thrive. My partner and I visited Baguio for 3 days and Canto is one of the famous places I saw on Tiktok that offers the best food in Baguio. That day is our monthsary and we spent our lunch there. We ordered Salisbury Steak (Php300 plus) and Pochero (Php600) then 1 lemonade drink and 1 Mango Fizz.

For the food, we waited for almost 15 minutes before it was served. And for the drinks, it was served 30mins after the food was served.

Upon checking, our food was not hot or warm especially the pochero when it was served. But we didn't mind and we just proceeded to eat since we were so already hungry that time. We just thought it was an advantage for them to prepare it early to save serving time.

My partner was so excited to eat the pochero but only to find out that the half cooked cabbage is hard to slice, raw in the inside and and guess what? The beef in pochero was so dry and chewy that my partner needed to chew it out because it was so hard to swallow and it really can cause indigestion if we still managed to eat everything. We almost choked up because the drinks we ordered was not yet served and I think they forgot already about our drinks because of many customers they are attending that time.

Before that, we have given many follow ups for our drinks to be served and good thing there is a service water served first. The drinks arrived after we decided to stop eating.

We were so disappointed and what a waste of money and time to go to Canto Restaurant. We spent Php 1,100+ for foods we didn't even manage to finish. If we just have the courage to speak with the staff that time to ask for refund, we already did but unfortunately, we are also chasing our time to proceed in our next place itinerary.

We love the ambiance in the resto, but the foods we ordered was so 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. My partner was so pissed that time. You know, we still have to pay for the food even we are not happy for that. My partner is insisting on a refund but I don't want any embarrassment and having eyes on us or making any scene since there are so many people also eating around us.
