We stayed at Octagon Bed and Dine for our honeymoon trip to Batanes (except on the 2nd night where we stayed overnight on a different island).||||Let me start with a reminder to all: this is not your up-scale resort or city hotel - this is an experience of both the Ivatan culture and being welcomed by the Ivatan people into their homes kind of experience. And it is one that is both humbling and beautiful. With that said - this is NOT a fast-food.||||Majority of the picture's taken had the cameras pointed towards the beach-front but few and far between pointing to the majestic hill landscape behind you when you enter their property.||||We were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff - who are Ivatans as well. This is important to note because going to and staying in Batanes exposes us travelers to the beauty of the Ivatan culture. A culture which they preserved through many years when treating guests.||||There is neither wifi nor data and hardly any signal for that matter - which truly disconnects the traveler from the world. An opportunity to introspect, reflect, respect and behold the quiet alluring beauty of Batanes.||||The Room - Room 3||The View: Spectacular. It is a beachfront view and treats us with a fantastic view of the sunset. You will also both fall asleep and wake up to the crashing sound of the waves.||||The Amenities: The room is air conditioned, well-lit with multiple ceiling lights and 2 table lamps, a flat screen TV that has cable services which allowed me to stay abreast on international news (especially in the US). It is also advisable to bring your own extension cords if you have multiple gadgets. It has 2 closets (not walk-in) one of which can be secured with keys they provide for free. We had our laundry rush cleaned and we got it back on the night of the same day.||||The Bed: Comfortable and inviting. The blankets provide more than enough warmth for the cool nights. ||||The Bathroom: In our room we notified the staff about the very slow drainage in the shower area. They immediately inspected and attempted to repair it both while we were at our tour and again when we got back. It was drained better but still slow.||||The Food: Delectable and worth the price. The serving size of 1 order in their main menu courses (such as the grilled fish and such) is enough for 2 people (3 if you have a small appetite). It may take time to cook - but it is in their culture to prepare the food perfectly, fresh, and prepare it very well for...

How wrong can one be,..must of had shares in this unprofessional, I don't care what the customer thinks about the food or how I treat them as I have a great view! ||Well every location on this beautiful island has great views and at half the price so I recommend you don't go to this place! ||Had a quiet/kind word with the waiters regarding our 8 small pieces (400 peso) of shrimp disaster that we couldn't cut through, and wasn't even given an apology and he simply walked away, gave it five minutes and asked again and was told that the shrimp was maybe not cooked well today haha ,well done Sherlock! Anyway, we were charged for this plate of poo (I use this word literally as the shrimp weren't cleaned) and sent on our way.||Bad...
