Casa Napoli Pizza — Restaurant in Basco

If I had left a review a few years back during my first time eating pizza at Casa Napoli, it would have been all 5 stars cos I enjoyed so much the food and time spent there. Then. This time, though, I ordered margherita and had tasted in my mind the basil, tomato, and cheese as I waited for my order. I said, for take out, and sat on one of their benches. I waited almost 30 mins, thinking a good pizza takes time to be served only to realize that the table who ordered after I did were already eating theirs. Sigh. I was just there, and the server could not be bothered to call my name or take the box of pizza to me. I sat almost in front of their counter! When I went up to the counter and asked for my order, the staff just picked it up and handed it to me. What??? I let it pass and made my merry way back to my inn, cos I was tired and wanted to enjoy my pizza all alone and quiet. I opened the box, and the excitement was zapped out of me because there's no BASIL in this MARGHERITA. Ok, calm down. Maybe they have a different style. Maybe it's mixed with the sauce. So I took a slice and... no no. No basil aroma or taste. So what pizza did I just order? TOMATO AND 2 CHEESES? Their menu says: Pomodoro, Basil, Parmesan, Mozarella cheese 💔

They responded in Messenger that they forgot to tell me there's no basil at this time cos they don't have stock. If they told me I could have ordered pepperoni or the Ivatan flavor instead. When it's one of the ONLY 3 basic ingredients and it's missing, you can't just say, "Ok na 'to." You have to remove it in your menu OR AT LEAST make it a point to advise diners of the change. I would rate the pizza and pasta 5/10 nothing really special, the taste was just average. What disappointed me more was the service. The staff were not welcoming and seemed more focused on their phones than attending to customers. I had to repeatedly ask for water and to have my leftovers packed, but they didn’t notice even though I was standing close by. Since I dined alone, I had quite a lot of leftovers, but the staff mixed my pizza and pasta into one box without even asking. I wouldn’t have minded paying for an extra box, but instead, the box was overfilled and couldn’t even be closed properly. By the time I opened it that evening, the pizza had become soggy, which really ruined the experience. I hope their staff can improve both the attentiveness and handling of food to provide better service...

Love this little place! Gives off chill afternoon as you hang out with the people you love. Love their pizza since it’s brick-oven baked, we had their supreme. It’s more than enough for the two of us and their carbonara is good in a sense the sauce tastes like it’s made with labor but it’s kinda dry; maybe a little more mushroom, make the pepperoni slices a little bit bigger if they’re aiming for the color to standout, and parsley! Clean area, they have a couple of tables that makes you feel like you’re just on a picnic, and I would like to add to make sure that canned sodas must be refrigerated well for it to be more fizzy as it would be perfect for the dishes.
