Cafe Pampayukay — Restaurant in Basco

I've been eyeing this cafe whenever I drive through the national road and heck it didn't fail my expectations, in fact it was a plus a hundred aura for me.

Some small observations:

• It is a little annoying whenever the coffee grinder is working as it is too loud for me to hear spoken words. • Many a flies roaming around. • No air conditioning at time of visit. • Nice playlist ya got there hm hm ⁠ ⁠◡⁠‿⁠ゝ⁠◡ • Just the cheesecake had me full, not too sweet, not too boring ◕⁠ヮ⁠◕ heh • And yes, too many flies so much so that I hadn't been able to keep up batting them away as I write this...

My go-to coffee shop in Batanes!

The owner and staff here are very friendly, and the drinks were mind-blowingly good for its price.

If you're going to order their hot coconut latte, make sure to stir it well, then drink it with a spoon. Trust me, there is a huge taste difference when you drink from the mug vs with the spoon. It's like magic!!!

Their wakay (sweet potato) latte hits differently when the wakay-infused shaved ice melts with your drink. It makes it more creamier and the flavor of wakay gets more evident in a great way!

May 21, 2025 - We found this cute spot middle of the day when it was very hot and after having a disappointing lunch at a previous place. The server was very polite and nice, the place was very cute, and they have a lot of choices in the menu including food which I wished we had our lunch there instead. Since we just had lunch and just wanted dessert and to cool down from the heat, we both ordered dessert drinks. I had the matcha strawberry and my cousin had the I believe avocado affogato both were good...
