We were stranded in Basco for a couple more days and it was a blessing for us to tour around the food options around. Noods is a Japanese place we love to go to. We dined here in back to back days (lunch and dinner). We recommend the Ebi Tempura and it probably one of the bests we have tasted in the Philippines plus it was a great value for money for around 300 pesos. Prices in Basco are generally higher than your typical provincial rates but their servings are generous. For the ramen, we recommend the gyokai broth. The dashi flavour really did come through. I tasted the Tantanmen and it might not be to your liking if you’ve tasted the umami-laden version in the Metro. It was not in season for the fish, but if they are please do order any sushi you can and it will be mouthwatering. Spice/Spiciness may not be a thing in Basco foods as we have observed so if you’re used to ordering on the spicy spectrum, taper your expectations. I almost forgot, the chicken karaage was seasoned perfectly and the portions are great for its price. Cooked well and the partner dipping sauce really rounded the flavour. Worth the visit, and we will definitely be back.

Most of their menu items were unavailable due to a lack of ingredients. We visited during the 4th week of January, and the unfavorable winds made sea deliveries infrequent. That said, we tried some of their food and really enjoyed it! The prices are affordable, the servings are generous, and the taste is even better—delicious, not overly salty. I chose Heiwa (spicy level 4) since it was new to me, and it was amazing! The tempura platter was great, with thin, flavorful breading. The gyoza had a generous serving size and tasted delicious, while the karaage was juicy and not overly salty or oily. The Aburi sushi was a new experience for me, and I liked it too!

The best ramen I have ever tasted instantly their Heiwa took me back to our hometown—it reminded me of a special local dish that made me feel right at home. My absolute favorite, though, was their tempura—perfectly crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, never oily, and bursting with flavor. Salute to the entire team! Despite the island’s limited resources, you not only made it happen, but you’re truly at the top of your craft every single day. The food was consistently excellent throughout our stay, and that speaks volumes about your dedication. More power, Dios Mamajes, Noods! You made our hearts and tummies full.
