TGI Fridays — Restaurant in Biñan

We went to TGI Friday's in Glorietta on a quaint Thursday evening a few weeks ago because we, especially my cousins and younger siblings, really liked it when we ate at the Venice Grand Canal Mall last year. Their steak was perfectly cooked, and pretty much everything came to the table freshly cooked. Plus, we couldn't pass up the credit card promo. (Does that contribute to getting less-than-stellar-quality service?)

However, for this branch, I was quite disappointed because the steaks we ordered were tough to eat; it might not even be an understatement to say that it might have been sitting out for a while already. For reference, we got a few orders of the two types of steak from their menu served at their recommended doneness. One was a thicker cut and was served fresh and was tender and way easier to eat than the other.

We also ordered a salad and truthfully it tasted a bit odd? Like rust or something else. I don't really eat salads, but I really felt that that wasn't a taste you'd expect from a salad? Even the pineapples in it were off-tasting.

Meanwhile, most of the kids seemed to have enjoyed their respective meals. In particular, I would say those would be the half rack of ribs in Jack Daniel's sauce, a big burger, and mac & cheese.

Of course, we couldn't not have calamari. And it disappeared before it could even get cosy on our table. I'm not sure if the kids just don't have very particular taste buds, but it's safe to say they liked it!

And I can definitely vouch for their ripe mango shake. At least for our table, they made one so good and rich in flavour that we had to buy another one. Unfortunately, there was no way we were gonna buy 1 for each child as we had already agreed on the bottomless iced tea, haha!

As for the atmosphere... since we're a family of 12, we had to settle with their table outside of the restaurant, which is quite dab smack in the middle 😅 Fortunately, it's an area with a small amount of foot traffic so it wasn't too awkward.

Overall, I wouldn't say it was a terrible experience. I'm not sure if they were jam-packed that night or whatever else, but it would have been really nice if they were at least able to make sure all the food being served was still fresh out of the oven kinda thing. It definitely...

We are from Dallas texas U.S.A and have been in the Southwoods City Philippines area for the past 3.5 months. My spouse and I have been traveling throughout Manila, tagaytay, Boracay, Puerto Galera (to name a few) and have visited quite a number of restaurants(both fancy and casual dining) and only 3 restaurants stands worth mentioning for excellent waitstaff service. We learned early on that it seemed dining services here in the Philippines are quite slow. Can’t quite figure out why this is. From the time we are seated, we wait….to the time our order was taken, we waited and waited…..no one checks up on us nor to let us know of a delay etc. unless we flag the waitstaff. While finally dining, no one checks or stops by to check how the food taste, is everything satisfactory, anything else we need…..nothing. If ever in Boracay, I highly recommend Bistro Des Amis. Literally had the worst experience in a bistro group place here at Southwoods mall TGIF branch. First time I've walked out of anger.

Came here for lunch on a Monday. There were literally only 4 tables occupied. We were the 3rd one to dine in at around 12:50pm. Few minutes after sitting down, they took our orders. Nothing too special since we were starving. Glazed porkchops, some salad, and fish chips.

Few minutes passed, no food still was coming. I also noticed no movement inside the kitchen. I then saw there was a sudden huddle between them, and they were looking at us.

I followed up our order since an hour already passed. Then they told us its not yet prepared as they havent punched the order yet! So angry we waited for such a long time. No communication was given to us about what has happened. So...
