We dined at Iya Tinay's Kitchenette for my parents' anniversary dinner. This was a last-minute choice as our usual spot, La Ne Resto in Carmen, was closed. Given the reviews, I had high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The grilled Tuna Belly lacked flavor and depended entirely on the chili soy sauce dip for taste. The pork chop was similarly bland and seemed to have been grilled straight after being chopped. It was tough and hard to chew. The vegetable dish we ordered tasted and looked like something out of a hospital ration—no offense intended, but it just wasn’t appealing. Their coffee bar was closed, so we couldn’t try their coffee, which was another letdown. For the price, we expected better quality and preparation. In comparison, we’ve had similar dishes at Jose in Tagbilaran, which were far tastier and offered at more reasonable prices. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless improvements are made. For now, it didn’t live up to the expectations set by the reviews.

We were a group of 6 people. We ordered 2 sisig plates for sharing, and one portion of lechon kawali just to taste. The lechon kawali was tasty, however the sisig on the other hand was burnt. Both sisigs were burnt and led us to just give most of it to the dogs. We were in a hurry so we weren’t able to rectify the situation. Service could be better considering we were the only people at the time. Overall, it is a decent place to eat at near Chocolate Hills! We spent a total of around 1000 Pesos for the 6 of us. Not bad for a food place near a major disco spot.

Food: price is really cheap, considering they're near the Chocolate Hills, really worth the price. Sisig was only 200 pesos and it was a generous portion. They also have a cute cafe inside the restaurant (see photos for menu). Service: the staff were friendly, really helpful and generously gave us free bulalo soup, which was really good! (Ask if you can have free soup) Atmoshpere: lots of tables for small and big groups. Parking is free. Restrooms have bidet which makes it a 10/10 🤭
