Margie's Bakeshop + Cafe — Restaurant in Butuan

This was recommended by a friend who also loves cheesecake, so it was a must try for me.

Wala silay cheesecake slice, so I had to skip it and try another cake instead 😅. I can't buy the whole cake kay ako ray gnahan ug cheesecake sa amua 😅

I bought the sans rival, it was good, lami to sya ug bugnaw, sadly gkan ko ng suroy2 and I tried it pag uli nako, but it was still good. Mura syag coffee crumble ice cream, but milder. The texture was that of silvanas.

I also tried their Korean pork ribs. One of the staff told me it was mildly spicy, but wala jud koy na feel na halang 😅 it had a side of vietnamese spring rolls, which was good. The ribs were tender but it lacked flavor. Maybe because ng expect kog spice but it wasn't there, but my partner liked it.

Price - it was a bit pricey, especially since the food and service did not meet my expectations.

Place - it was okay, mura syag old diner na naay pgka rustic, tuvma unsaon pg explain 😅, I didn't really enjoy the place. It's in my top worst places to dine in. Mura kag naa sa club sa kasaba udtong tutok 🤣. The music plus loud diners, I was supposed to dine in, pero alingugngog jud kaau, ngpa take out nlng ko 😩. The place was small so dali ra jud masaba.

Staff - I'm not sure about the staff, dghan silag tawo but not enough servers? and it wasn't even crowded. Most of the prices are almost the same sa mga restaurant sa cebu where you can already get a good service. Dli man sila rude, maybe busy lang jud sila atu na time? lol 😅

Had severe abdominal cramps after drinking their mango shake. I am lactose intolerant, I specifically informed the server not to put any dairy on my milkshake, but the kitchen staff is concerned that it might break their blender because it needs water, so I suggested they can just add water if they have to. When the food was serve I took a sip on my drink and realized that it has a dairy on it, worst it tasted like powdered milk. After few minutes my stomach started cramping and Im no longer interested finishing my meal. I always pay visit to this restaurant whenever I visited Butuan, its my only favorite restaurant back then. But after my experience Im so disappointed. Good thing there’s a lot of good restaurants in the city, I can only hope that this place...

Ordered chinese style pork tenderloin, cookie monster (chocolate cake), and hot chocolate drink. Love their cookie monster and hot chocolate. The cake was not too sweet. It was really moist and decadent and the touch of caramel in between its layers blends perfectly well. The hot chocolate was not sweet which I like as it brings out tje taste of the chocolate they use. On the other hand, I didn't like my meal quite that much. The sauce has confusing flavors, but really tender meat. The rice goes much better with the siomao with soy sauce than the beef.

Their ambiance has a really good feel to it and their acoustic and bossa nova songs make the cafe such a nice...
