Backyard BBQ Pueblo - Uptown — Restaurant in Cagayan de Oro

I had lunch here yesterday, only ordering the Backyard BBQ Original burger for ₱130. Although it was the smallest burger with the least components, yet it was ample in its own right. I was genuinely surprised by how good it was, worrying it’d be small and flat like a Jollibee or McDo burger, but that wasn’t the case at all. This was probably the first time something has looked better in person than it did advertised on the menu on display.

They give you those little beeper things that let you know when you can pick your order up from the counter. It took a bit to be ready, but when it finally did, it was warm and smelled great. The burn was super soft and of good quality; smooth on the outside, and fluffy when you bit into it. It was simple, only consisting of a patty, cheese, and sauce. But all of them together, especially the sauce, were delicious and complimented each other so well. I’d say it was worth the price and it makes me excited to try the other burgers.

The seats inside are limited, and the seats outside are not as nice since they’re exposed to outer elements and it can get pretty hot out. I’d definitely eat here again with more money on hand and enjoy a meal with a friend.

Edit: Went here a second time with someone and ordered more food and it was delicious. I’m glad I got to eat here again before they move to their new...

I'm surey review will not be appreciated, but I'm not trying to be mean just honest in my critique. I'm from Las Vegas, NV now living in Uptown. Seems good food is a bit hard to find here. We ordered take out here. Both the burger and burger steak was very salty. The mashed potatoes and gravy were not bad, but also very salty and I suspect not made with real potatoes. The Cole slaw was more Cole soup. It's not meant to be that way. The fried chicken was ok, but just too much breading. All these can easily adjusted and made better. Salt can always be added by the customer. I hope at the very least this is helpful and can make your business...
