Worst restaurant I've been to in a while. Shame because it is local to us and Garden Walk is an attractive expensive new restaurant and retail centre. Overall the food is tasteless and staff play with smartphones whilst most tables covered with remains of people's meals. New customers come in and are ignored whilst viewing the dirty tables. I was pleased to arrive as it seemed exciting to have a buffet and flame cooked food at the table. We like Korean food and would have used this restaurant regularly. I will list my comments: Many items which should be kept warm, like chips, are in cold plates Apart from the red marinaded chicken everything was tasteless Many containers just had dregs of food. When we asked as were told that they "would not be replenished until 4.30" Several long tables with perhaps 20 settings on each were left with all the half-eaten food napkins, bones etc for as long as we were there. This was even when we were the only people in the restaurant There are maybe 100 buffet dishes displayed, but nothing is labelled Staff chatted, laughed and concentrated of smartphones whilst the dirty tables lay unattended to We wanted to take our chicken bones for the cat but it was pointed out that if we did there was a 500 peso "fine". It just was not good or fresh food. An affront to the Philippines where tasty fresh food and good service are a byword. For those that run the business and have invested so much in opening in a new retail park, where new condominiumcs are being constructed, get down there and straighten things out before your business goes down the tube. This is Saturday night, there is a free rock concert starting, why was the restaurant empty bar ourselves for a while. I think my review answers...
Read moreI’ve traveled to Korea several times and this restaurant is authentic from the simple ambience to it’s dishes. They have a variety of Korean side dishes you can pick from including soups and deserts. They use the electric stoves which prevent your clothes from smelling bad. The meats are cut thinly so that it will cook right away. You can control your seasoning by adding salt and pepper and their variety of Korean sauces. The food is excellent and the owners are super friendly Sir Jojo iand his wonderful Korean wife. The service is top notch and the cuisine is authentic. The atmosphere is friendly and ready to serve. The price for lunch is 749. For the variety of dishes you won’t find in your typical Korea buffet is worth it. For an extra 50 peso charge they provide “cheddar” cheese for the meat. Totally worth it and different. Took my whole family there today and they all loved the authentic Korean experience. Hats off to the hospitable owners and their employees!! God bless...
Read moreVERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I called to enquire about their policy on ordering pork only vs. ordering pork and beef within the same group. And to my dismay, the person who answered my call (I believe he's the owner) went into an endless tirade about being 'lugi.' Note that the only reason why I asked about this policy is because other Korean BBQ establishments would not allow their guests on the same table to have different orders (meaning if one orders beef, everyone should order the same).
I have been a regular customer of this establishment despite their not so good food quality, just because it's very near where I live. But because of this poor customer service, and the attitude of this cranky 'owner,' I wont even consider visiting this place again.
I will tell all my friends to avoid this restaurant at all cost. Their food is so so, but what's worse is their...
