Max's food is always delicious with subtle variances depending on location, time, servers.

At this particular branch and time, the fried chicken could've been more juicy but the rest of the food in the combo plate--pancit, tofu sisig, corn sisig and lumpiang shanghai were all up to standard.

The service of this particular branch appeared lacking. Upon arrival at the restaurant I was the only customer, and the table beside the one I sat down to still had its dirty plates.

Food was quick to arrive which is good, I only ordered water as I found the drinks too expensive. I was served a glass of cold water but for the duration of my stay, despite emptying my glass, they never proactively offered to refill it. After finishing my meal, I was busy watching a film on my phone while waiting for my wife's arrival. No one offered to clear my table since I've already finished. I even pushed my dishes off to one side away from me but they either can't take a hint or have grown accustomed to providing this level of service. I can only imagine how bad the service can be if it were a busier time.

Will I still dine here? Sure, I like Max's and while there's KFC in the same area, sometimes I prefer a quieter, more comfortable dining atmosphere. Just hope that...

The service is so unsatisfactory. I ordered online last May 7 (Manila time) for a delivery on Mother’s day, May 10 at 12 pm (Manila time of course). Payment was process right away, not even 5 minutes. I told my sister to let me know once the order arrive because it is suppose to be a surprise for my mother. The order didn’t arrive at 12, they've waited until 1:30 (my aged parents are starving coz my sister told them, so no longer a surprise). The branch that will bring the food is only 5 minutes away to the recipient. My brother went to the branch at around 1:30 pm to check with them and sadly it’s not ready yet. So disappointed with the service. Instead of a delivery it was picked up. They said on the website that orders should be placed at least 3 days before so they have time to process. I thought everything is fine because I didn't hear from them. The day came and no calls or email that they will be delayed or canceled. Thinking to order in the future but I don’t think I will. I don't like to have this kind of disappointment. Their food is good but...

The longest lockdown recorded worldwide has made us realize to value more of the cherished moments spent with family and friends. A lot of those memories were spent here in what is known as The House That Fried Chicken Built.

The Max chain of restaurants is a landmark here in the country, young and old, returning foreigners and balikbayans, generations have and will come back here in Max.

Now that they are again allowing dine in .... it's time to take that chance and have a quiet lunch or dinner with family. There is limited seating capacity so you get to relax and enjoy your hot and fresh sarap to the bones fried chicken, kare kare, krispy pata, singang na ulo ng salmon, fresh lumpia, and don't forget the leche flan and halo halo.

Brewed coffee is available all day and is served with Biscotti. Delicious combination.
