As a Middle Eastern, there are some good things and things I disliked in here.
Good Things I liked : -Shawaerma tasted good -Flafel , Tahini, and the rice bowl were good. -Manakeesh ( this is probably the closest manakeesh I tried that taste like the one in the Middle East)
Things I disliked : Price ( It was really pricey for some of the meals).
the appetizer set that comes with Hummus , flafel, and salad. I'm kind of disappointed with this set. It was extremely pricey, and the portion was so little. There was no bread even added to it. As an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant, you should know hummus and flafel should come with bread , not a spoon. Should have made it a bigger portion and at least one bread to follow minimum standards.
-The kebab ( Koftah) was really dry in taste. It's supposed to be juicy, but the one I ate was really dry that it didn't taste good.
So far, those are my honest opinions as a Middle Eastern.
I would definitely try it here again since I liked some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were craving middle eastern food, so we Googled and found Hussam at the Ayala Mall. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming, including the amazing manager, Mark. The food is a mix of Lebanese dishes, and others with other (Indian?) flavor. We ordered hummus, falafel, mixed grill, special rice, chicken tawook plate, and salad, all tasted delicious according to everyone at the table. How can you tell a good Lebanese restaurant from another? By its hummus. It was delicious! For drinks we ordered the amazingly refreshing and freshly made lemonade with mint. If I were to make a comment, it is about the bread, which is less Lebanese and more like a flour tortilla, regardless it was good bread, and the food tasted really good with it. Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. We went back once again for more deliciousness before we left Cebu! We will definitely be back on...
