I "WILL NOT" recommend any one to stay at this hotel (especially the foreigners of the country) for the following reasons. I will address more details in the bottom, if people would like to take time to know more details. In short, It was an extremely awful experience to stay at this hotel.
The hotel room and room facilities were extremely horrible, It is not 5-star hotel, but feel like 2-star or even less or motel
The hotel staff are inefficient, the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly
My luggages were being detained by the hotel "AFTER" the "Hotel checkout" was done and "WERE CONFIRMED" by the hotel staff
The hotel charged unreasonable high phone bill if the call is making through hotel phone
Details address below====== "Horrible room facilities" Me and my family we booked 3 rooms. 3 of the room all had some sort of problems, summerized below: A. there was a metal piece fell out of my hairdryer when I blow dry by hair B. The outlet of the charge on the bathroom counter is broken, the working outlet is under the counter, which is inconvenient to use. C. Water is leaking from the toilet and has spread across the bathroom floor. D. The draw rod has detached from the curtains. E. There is a musty smell in the room that makes me really uncomfortable F. The air conditioner keeps turning off by itself, it became really hot in the middle of the night G. There were used hotel slippers and a lot of hair under the bed. H. The shower water pressure is fluctuating. EX: The shower water pressure is low and then suddenly becomes high.
I. The shower water was not hot, and I had to ask hotel staff to come fix it
"Inefficient Hotel Staff" For each check-in, the hotel front desk staff take up to 20 minutes, and there were long queue
"Luggages being detained" I checked out about 11ish in the morning at the checkout counter. The hotel staff has checked everything and confirmed everything was all clear, he even returned my room deposit back. The checkout was "DONE" and "Confirmed finished" by the hotel staff. After checking out, I went to the other side of the lobby (different counter apart from the checkin/checkout counter) to store my luggages at luggage storage counter.
When I came back to get my luggages about 5pm, the luggage counter told me that I need to go to the checkin/check out counter to clear the bill (the bill part I will explain more in the next section) otherwise he wouldn't let me get my luggages back.
There is no problem at all to pay the bill that I need to pay, but I think the frontdesk staff who handled my checkout should be responsible, because he did not check throughly and properly. The "check out" was already "finished", and he should not detained my luggage only because I temporary left my luggages in the luggage storage counter. He should be responsible for his negligence.
"Unreasonable high phone bill" I had made a phone call from hotel phone to local massage places for few minutes (the hotel staff claimed that I talked for 7 minutes, but I think at most 5 minutes I used as I remembered), and the hotel charge me 584PHP I was surprised because I don't think a few minutes call will be that expensive. The hotel staff claimed that it is expensive because the phone call was calling from "local phone" to "local mobile phone". Does that means the phone charge per minutes from "local phone" to "local mobile phone" is 83PHP (584PHP/7minutes)?? Later on, I asked the local people, and they told me that normally the charge should be 8-10 PHP, if that's the true, this hotel is charging about 10 times more expensive than it should be. More important of all, I don't see any instruction/indication near the phone that tells the client about the rate of different phone calls (I thought it's free to call local to local, so I did the phone calls). I would suggest the hotel to provide a "obvious instruction/indication" to let the client know what should be charged or how much is the rate especially when the charge is...
Read moreDear Radisson Blu Cebu,
Good day! I believe that you will be able to track in Micros Opera that this is not my first time staying with RBC. I have stayed here as a crew of one of your corporate partners. My job is to travel the world and stay in hotels almost every single day but never have I ever been treated this way.
I am writing to express my deepest appreciation for how my family and I were treated during our stay. I booked our room around January of this year, roughly 8 months prior to our stay. We kind of started with the wrong foot via email but was sorted out immediately. On that note, allow me to mention some of your best staff that made our stay delightful:
Jon of Reservations Thank you for your prompt response and patience during the course of settling all my requests for our reservation. Your professionalism and patience has made me keep the reservation instead of canceling it given all the rough roads I have encountered prior to our exact stay dates. Also, allow me to express my gratitude if you were responsible for upgrading our Deluxe room into a Junior suite. What a great way to do service recovery. If it was you, you really know how to do your job well! You are indeed an asset for the Sales and Reservations Team.
Judy and Jassie of the Front Desk Team Thank you for taking your time in looking for my reservation despite your plates being full from the check in, check out, and phone requests all simultaneously coming in while I was asking for help.
Clarisse of the Front Desk Team Thank you for your warm welcome during our check in and for ensuring that a special birthday welcome was set up in our room. To be honest I have no recollection of booking a Junior Suite room with lounge access. I am not sure if it was you who upgraded our room or if it was Jon, but regardless, I would like to thank you for making my birthday extra special. Never in my lifetime would I have imagined that my deluxe room will be upgraded on my special day! You made me and my family extremely overjoyed.
Jun and RK of the Business Class Lounge Jun, you have welcomed my family and I with the warmest good mornings whenever we dine in for breakfast at the lounge. I assume that you are aware that I am neither a VIP nor a business class member but you have treated my family and I nothing less of the VIP members. You have always given us the best service with no prejudice of who we are and who we are not. You made sure that all our requests were given in a timely manner and even remembered our meal preference in a span of our short stay. Words will not be enough to express my appreciation. Thank you for making my birthday special!!
RK, thank you for being the first person today who sang me a happy birthday. For your efforts in bringing the cake from the pastries, I am grateful.
As our stay ends today, allow me to thank all of you once again for making my birthday this year one of the most memorable ones. Let me share too that a family member just recently passed away and it made me unwilling to celebrate, but the service that I have received from Radisson Blu Cebu made me realize that some days have to be celebrated no matter what.
Hoping that all my commendations will reach all the staff I have mentioned above.
Looking forward to staying with you again.

Read moreI recently had the opportunity to stay at this Radisson Blu, a five-star rated hotel with a reputation for luxury. While my stay was decently pleasant, there were some aspects of the experience that left something to be desired.
The room was of decent size and had tasteful decor, but as a seasoned traveler, I have come to realize that the littlest thing can make a very big difference. The bathroom was well-spaced and thoughtfully designed for possible mobility-challenged individuals, with all the bar handles at the toilet and shower stall. However, the open shower stall with a short curtain splashed the water and made a messy bathroom, making it more slippery and prone to accidents since there was no additional non-slip mat provided. It also left a puddle of water even overnight. There was no water glass provided in the bathroom. There was a hairdryer provided, but it was difficult to use due to the location of the electric socket being way deep below the sink (I only found this out when my other companions mentioned this. I initially thought there was none - see the picture, the only visible and easily accessible socket doesn't fit the hair dryer).
While the bed was comfortably firm with clean, smooth silk-like sheets, the pillows were all too fluffy to be comfortable to sleep in. I woke up with a sore neck because it didn't give me the comfortable support I needed.
Perhaps the only true five-star feature was the hotel lobby, which was grand in space, with minimal decor that didn't distract from its grandness. The breakfast buffet had a decent selection of local, Chinese, and western cuisine, but nothing stood out in taste or variety.
The service at Radisson Blu was courteous and non-intrusive but a little haughty and selective. When I checked in with a group of 8 people, there were only two front desk clerks servicing for the usual 3-4 PM check-in time. One of the clerks took time to notice the other end with people lined up. I kept looking at her since she had finished servicing the other customer ahead of us. When I caught her eye, she passed me and instead called my two other companions; she might assume I was just their tag along. When it was my turn, she took a while to process my check-in; she had to leave thrice to go to the other end of the long reception table to either check or get something. And she asked me if I preferred to have a two-bed or one single king-size bed when it was clear in my reservation I was alone; she never asked my two other solo companions. She never mentioned anything about the Radisson club membership, which she offered to my companions.
The hotel provided free Wi-Fi access, but it was a bit confusing to log in. Initially, I was unsuccessful, and I had to go back and ask, only to find out that the password was my surname, including my suffix, the first time. The bedside electrical socket was loose. I woke up to find my phone was not fully charged, even if it was in the socket; apparently, I had to push it hard to stay connected.
Overall I would rate it at 2.5/5; my stay was satisfactory for a 3-4 star hotel but not what I would expect from a five-star hotel. The little things can surely make a difference, and I hope the hotel management takes note of these areas for...
