Melton's Halo-Halo — Restaurant in Cebu City

We visited Melton’s Halo-halo with family and friends on a Friday afternoon after my aunt’s burial, hoping to cool down with something refreshing in the summer heat. When we arrived, there were only a few customers.

Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The halo-halo was just average—the ice was chunky and coarse, not soft or finely shaved like the creamy texture we were hoping for. The sweetness also seemed off, with the sugar not properly mixed, leaving an uneven taste.

It’s a bit disappointing, especially knowing that they were once recognized as Cebu’s best halo-halo back in 2016. Sadly, they haven’t maintained that reputation.

This is a pretty decent "classic" style halo halo with Ube ice cream, shaved ice and a few noteworthy toppings along with be usual coconut, jellies and jackfruit. There was a gummy, soft red/maroon colored topping that I quite likedbut couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly. Also they put peanuts inside which was interesting but in the end I felt was odd and it tasted misplaced ultimately with all the other flavors.
