We visited Melton’s Halo-halo with family and friends on a Friday afternoon after my aunt’s burial, hoping to cool down with something refreshing in the summer heat. When we arrived, there were only a few customers.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The halo-halo was just average—the ice was chunky and coarse, not soft or finely shaved like the creamy texture we were hoping for. The sweetness also seemed off, with the sugar not properly mixed, leaving an uneven taste.
It’s a bit disappointing, especially knowing that they were once recognized as Cebu’s best halo-halo back in 2016. Sadly, they haven’t maintained that reputation.

There was a gummy, soft red/maroon colored topping that I quite likedbut couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly.
