The SERVICE in Xin Tian Di Resto is not at par with the 5-6 Star the Hotel brags. So do not expect to have a luxurious treatment because you won't get one here thats for sure. When we were standing to be received nobody talked to us despite us calling for their attention. When we were seated at last - the waitress did not bother in preping our table the needed chopsticks & soup spoon/ladle, nobody poured water and asked us for our order but again we waited until we got the attention of their waiter/s, when ordering the waitress did not have any ballpen with her and finally when she did procure one she had no idea of their menu despite me pointing their menu one by one infront of her. Fastfood waiter/attendants are quicker to get order/s compared to this restaurant - they need to hire attentive waiters/tress or train them well. I have to say the turn-around time of ordering the food and serving was rather fast but it went dowhill from there. When we asked kindly to replace our order of bottled water to soda, the waiter had us wait for an answer and ended up me arguing that it is okay to return and replace the bottled water since it was not opened or touched yet. Then when the soda was served the waiter Opened the Can of soda without asking us if we want it opened (personally i do not want any strangers finger pulling the mouthpeice/tab of my canned drink - cleanliness and tampering is a big issue as I rather do the opening of such intimate drinks and the issue of my soda being flat if they have to open the can when I am not yet ready to drink it. Upon payment and having watched the cashier input at a snails pace and trying to figure out what to punch, I really feel that the cashier is unexperienced causing the long wait than usual. And lastly I have to complain that the price of their Pork Siomai/dumpling is different from what they have charged us - complained it even to their manager but the manager did not gave us a constructive resolution rather only repeated what was said by the waiter. If your a well trained manager you could have offered the difference in payment right away, apologized sincerely and or offered some free refreshments and then gave us an acceptable reason. Rather she was defensive of their error and showed us the correct menu "placemat" where the updated pricing is shown but clearly was their fault as the menu "placemat" they provided us showed different pricing, during the order we were not informed of any price changes and even when we were billed we were not given a heads up of the price difference/change. I even tore a few of their menu placemats infront of her (the manager) since I have to insist that such menu placemat not be served and shown to customers as it is the wrong price advertising but they must use the new and updated menu placemat instead to reflect the correct updated pricing, because if not it is a direct DTI violation to advertise a wrong price to paying clients.Whoever hired the manager must retrain her or get another manager. We have to leave Xin Tiang Di resto with a Bad Headache and would not recommend anybody expecting good service from their crew. Their Service is a let-down and is undeserving of any praise for being part of the NU-Star Casino & Hotel...
Read moreGood food but the service is TERRIBLE. Will not visit again.
To put things into perspective, I tried talking to the manager at first but he seemed not to care at all so I decided to air my thoughts here.
This is my first time making a review of any restaurant and I am writing this because I compelled for good reason. Upon entry, we were asked to provide our contact details. This simple procedure can be life-saving if untoward events should happen but unfortunately in my case where I left my valuables, not a single effort was done to communicate with me even if I provided my contact details. Maybe I am being petty but this resulted in a very unpleasant night where my belongings was handed to the staff at the casino and there was a LONG process before I could claim it. This process was strict for good reason and I have much respect on how the casino staff were meticulous in accounting for my belongings. But the problem here is that a simple effort in communication would have prevented the whole cumbersome process. What was the point of asking for our number anyway? when we left the table, the waiter who cleaned up our table could have already contacted us right then and there. Take note, we left the place and had already arrived home in Talamban which was a 1 hr drive before noticing the problem. We were forced to go back and when I visited the restaurant, the staff reasoned they were busy. This however does not excuse any deficiencies they committed. Luckily, I did not lose any valuables but the situation could really have been handled way differently. On the pulse side, their food was good though this was not enough for me to recommend this Chinese Restaurant. You are better off trying much better choices which have bigger servings.
I would give 4 stars for the food but the service deserves a ZERO. If you happen to be somewhere along SRP, I suggest you go try Tim Ho...
Read moreMaybe I was expecting too much from a Chinese restaurant from a much hyped hotel and casino resort but I was not very impressed by the furnishings and overall ambiance of this restaurant. The place wasn’t that big, and I wouldn’t consider it luxurious and I don’t think it had that wow factor. I wonder why the server asked for our name and contact info. Nevertheless, contrary to most reviews here, my friends and I did not really wait long for our orders to be served. Maybe because we came during lunchtime on a Thursday. Our servers were very friendly and accommodating. The food servings were rather small, but we knew about it beforehand because we asked the server how many servings each dish is for, so we ordered enough to fill all four of us in our party. I must admit, their dishes were quite delicious. The menu was very limited compared to other Chinese restaurants in the city, but their dimsum is quite authentic. For the first time I found chicken feet comparable in size and quality as what I’m accustomed to at Dimsum restaurants in the U.S. The food was not that expensive considering its quality and taste. I would go back if I visited the Casino again, but I will not make a special trip specifically just to dine in at...
