Yaki Mix Restaurant — Restaurant in Cebu City

Hate to leave 1 star reviews, so I will reluctantly give this a 2. I visited this several years ago and it underimpressed, and thought, maybe it has improved. Nope. Food selection was poor to non existent, come on, if you are charging a premium for weekend guests, give them access to food. Not a succession of empty plates. Next, service sucked. Instead of a welcome to our restaurant, the first words out of the servers mouth was no wastage, there is a fee. Oh thanks, glad to be here. I should have replied hard to waste when there isn't any food to choose from. Next, after choosing a limited selection to grill, the grill wouldn't work. 4 separate people came over after we flagged them down, all checked the grill, agreed it didn't work and moved on. No thought to maybe changing our table, nothing. So, we requested the check and yeah, got charged full price for 2 people without having grilled anything and hardly had any food to even sample yet. So yeah, maybe they do deserve that 1...

We were at Yakimix at lunch yesterday with my mom and I have 1 free voucher with me. After we ate, I called out for our bill and presented my voucher. I was declined and asked to pay the full amount. Their reason was, I should have presented the voucher upon entering the restaurant. The waitress said, our headcount was already entered in their POS and cannot be changed. I requested to speak to their supervisor and showed to them the instructions printed on the voucher. It says "present this voucher upon billing".

So disapppointing that mostly our customer service here is very poor. They always go against the customer rather than finding ways. They would always say "no" rather than "let's see what we can do".

Anyways, my claim was approved and was even told that next time, i should present it ahead. I replied "no, next time change your voucher instruction to avoid...

Of the several times i've eaten at Yakimix, this was by far the worst. All I can say is the price has been going up but the quality seems to be getting worse. Less variety. A lot of items were missing/unavailable. For drinks, all they had was iced tea, orange juice, coffee, and soft drinks. The only things that had any flavor in their menu are the spicy squid, beef brisket, and spicy pork. Everything else was bland. Their salmon dish seemed to be cooked with reject parts that would give you a mouth full of bones with each bite. If there weren't a fine for leftovers, we would not have finished the food on our plates. The dessert wasn't any better. The dessert seen below was all that we got, save ice cream, which was very much needed to cleanse the palate. Never coming back...
