Merly's Lunch — Restaurant in Daraga

Been a patron since I was a child. Place is popular with the locals, who usually buy takeout. Best Crispy Pata in town, considering how affordable it is (around 1/3 to 1/2 the price in Metro Manila). There was a time when relatives from overseas and Manila would bulk buy so they can take it back to the city. Their Ox-tongue with mushrooms is my baseline on how I judge other resto's version of preparing the same dish. Their Chicharon bulaklak is to die for. Generally, the dishes here are fairly priced, inexpensive, and taste good. As for dining-in, place is fine but could get hot inside. Okay restrooms. Owners are good people.

I remember this is the place where my family and I used to eat decades ago when I was a kid. Their menu are all delicious. Only to find out that my classmate and close friend in high school that his family owns this shop. no parking space and the surround streets are filthy as hell. Max Restaurant-quality food - nothing to go head-over-heals for. cramped dinning area. takes around 30 minutes to get the food prepared and served.
