WHAT HAPPENED HONGDAE? We went last night for a dinner because it had been God knows how many years we had samgyupsal and we also wanted to catch up. We even voted between hongdae and korea town and of course Hongdae won since the last time we went there we were greeted with a top-notch customer service (wayback 2022 i guess), LAMI and BARATO sad ni sila ,so it became our favorite sampgyusalan. Little did we know that beyond the saying 'people change' our favorite samgyupsalan has changed napud diay. It's no longer a friendly establishment or maybe i'm just too deep into the suspool. STORYTIME: 6 mi kabuok nangaon and nauna amuang isa ka couple, they went ahead and nagpa set up na and they ask if they can reserved the other table since otw pami, the staff refuse kay first come first served sila ata and that's okay lang it's their policy man (take note walay something karatola sa gawas nakabutang first come first served). Naabot na dayun mi sakong buntis nga friend and I decided na itapad ang table, make sense ra kauban mi right? after i did that naay niduol nga staff annoyed "maam bawal ni sya makasaban mi ani", i said sorry because i didn't know they had rules like this and no warnings was posted sa table to let the customers know. We had fun and enjoyed the food na and our last couple came with their junakis. First thing her partner did was to ask for a high chair and he came back with a defeated face because they don't have one. So how are they going to eat diba? but look we're cowboys so that's fine. When they ask another staff to set up their trays na my friend asked again if may high chair ba and he responded yes then get the high chair right away, my friend was obviously confused and she blurted 'sabi nung isa nyong kasama wala kayong high chair' we just laughed at it and i think the staff gets it nasad. We enjoyed our food really LAMI gyud sya. After mga 30min kaon another staff came to our table 'maam pwedi namo mo iisbog sa pikas kay naa daghan magkaon' our response without hesitation 'oo kaayo maam okay ra po' we even helped them and even though we can sniffed a bit of septic tank thing going on sa amuang giisbogan we're still okay with it (no wonder dali kaayo nahuman ug kaon tung upat kabuok nga nilingkod prior sa amua). The only time they gave us their smile was when they asked us to move and when they got our bills. Now I know this might spark other opinions and that's okay-- we've all had different experiences at this restaurant. As i've mentioned this WAS our favorite samgyupsalan. It was dissapointing at best, since we expected another great experience-- we CHOSE the restaurant pa naman. I understand nga basin kapoy ang staff but we felt the imbalance of how they were treating other guests with smiles and a sense of urgency. We're not even bastos ha NEVER we just want to eat and to receive a top-notch customer service. That doesn't mean na they cannot improve, I'm actually writing this to let them know that there's still a bit of tweaking needed but who knows maybe next time will be a different experience na. We still enjoyed the food.

This is one of my favorite korean samgyupsal place 😍 When we feel like having something to grab, we just simply go there by riding or through commute. The staffs are very friendly, they instantly serve foods you ordered precisely. The first time we came there, it's not too pricy. But now, since we know about the crisis we're facing today, the prices go higher for almost about 50% of its original price. Eventhough, the money you spent is more worthy than the ambiance of the place itself, the good customer service of staffs and the owners, and the location which is easy to follow. I will go back every time I have the chance to. Actually, we just stopped by here and taking the chance to have a bite right after our cycling routine everyday. I'm happy that their business is still ongoing despite the happenings. More bites to come with you, Hongdae Davao! ❤️

Location is accessible. Walking distance from the main road. The food was okay, they have a lot of side dishes. We really like the graham ball haha. 399 includes pork, beef, chicken and shrimp. Unli iced tea. Unli side dish. Unli rice. If I'm going to rate the service that would be 3/5 because some of the staff are not that accommodating and you need to wait for a couple of minutes before they acknowledge you and assist you. Everytime the busboy or busgirl will clear the tables and plates, customer usually flinch due to the noise they create. The way they clear the plates in the dining table is like they are going to throw the whole plate away. But over all, the experience was great. Affordable as well. I think they wont ask for your FM PASS. They will just ask for your QR code and they will just check your temperature before you can go inside.
