On April 16, 2025, at around 6:30 PM, we visited the Sumo Niku branch at Abreeza for dinner. I observed that the restaurant was not crowded, yet the receptionist seemed reluctant to let us in. When I inquired about this, she mentioned it was due to cueing, despite there being no guests waiting outside.
After we placed our order, I nearly left because no one attended to us or provided an order slip. It took almost 40 minutes for the meat to arrive, and even then, our order was incomplete. I had to reorder, which took an additional 30 minutes to arrive.
I requested assistance again, as I was dining with my 3-year-old son and needed utensils. The female server informed me that they had none available due to the dishwasher being out of service. I was taken aback, as it seemed unreasonable for guests to have to adjust because of a staff shortage.
When I asked for rice and ice, the responses from the servers were inconsistent. One server said, "I will get it, sir," while another claimed, "We have no ice left." Consequently, we ended up drinking room-temperature Pepsi without ice, which reflected poorly on the manager's oversight.
In my opinion, the service was severely lacking due to inadequate preparation and management. They were unprepared in several areas, including utensils, ice, rice, meats, and manpower.

Trying to flag down a member of staff for assistance is near impossible as they are grossly understaffed for the restaurant capacity and dining style. Being rude and snob with your customers gave us the impression of "I will never go back to this resto ever again." Swear. The manager herself is not in the mood to answer queries, lol the tone was rude when we were approaching her if we can come inside since there's a lot of vacant tables but all we heared was "Wait lang".
