The Good Food Co. — Restaurant in Davao City

Good Food has become my go to spot with friends, and for a very good reason. The combination of delicious meals, generous portions, and reasonable prices almost feels unfair... in fact, I’ve been here so many times that I sometimes feel guilty ordering, like I’m somehow scamming them with how good the deal is.

Every dish is filled with flavor, and the serving sizes are more than enough to leave you full and satisfied. That’s saying a lot, considering it’s rare for me to leave a restaurant feeling this contented. On top of that, the warm and cozy atmosphere, combined with the most friendly staff make the experience even better, turning a simple meal into a place where you just want to stay and enjoy the moment.

One dish I always recommend is the chicken schnitzel sandwich. For the price, you get a huge breaded chicken fillet, soft burger buns, a fresh salad, and a side of chips for free. It’s an absolute steal, and every bite is crispy, flavorful, and filling. If you’re extra hungry, it’s the perfect choice that guarantees you leave satisfied.

It’s safe to say this place has earned a permanent spot on my list. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to, knowing you’ll always leave happy. After all, good food and great company make for the best meals, and this place delivers both every time.

Our experience was great overall. The food tastes good, the service was good, and the place was okay.

We ordered three dishes: chicken parmigiana, chicken schnitzel, and carbonara. They all taste great. However we have a few comments regarding the pricing and especially the carbonara.

The first two dishes are a bit pricey when compared to similar dishes offered in other comparable restaurants. I know of a place that offers more serving for half the price, and another that offers almost thrice the serving for a little more money.

The carbonara, while overall okay, had too much onions and pepper. The number of onion pieces you had to set aside was ridiculous. We also occasionally bit on pieces of pepper, which wasn't pleasant. Hopefully this was an isolated case.

If price is no object, we would recommend the place. Otherwise, you should...

I appreciate the minimalist interior.of the place. It would be a mistake not ordering their Durian Mangosteen Crepe when in Davao City. Love, love, love it! I also recommend their Shrimp in Coconut Milk served with Cajun Rice and their Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese and Ranch dip. Good job on that Chef! Probably it's just me but their Carbonara is way too creamy and their Pesto with Shiitake Mushrooms was just ok. It said it had pine nuts but couldn't find the pine nuts. Overall, will definitely come back to try the items on their menu to be blissfully ended by a serving of Durian...
