Backside Burger — Restaurant in General Luna

Unfortunately, the staff mixed up a normal beef burger and a vegan burger that we ordered. We ordered the vegan burger with fries and the beef without in order to help differentiate. When the waiter put down the burgers he clearly stated ‘classic’, so we didn’t think to visually check at this point. We only realised after a few bites of each that they had been mixed up, along with re-reading the menu regarding the additional toppings each burger comes with. We can accept that mistakes happen and it does just show the vegan burger is a really good substitute as the meat eater did not realise, and they looked really similar upon inspection! However, we then told a member of staff what had happened and it appeared they told the counter and kitchen staff, but nothing was done about it. We didn’t expect entire new meals as we technically were given the correct ones, but not even an apology! Extremely disappointed that the staff didn’t seem to care, especially because it is quite upsetting to unknowingly eat meat after many years of vegetarianism! The fries were delicious albeit on the wrong plate, so such a shame about the customer service as we’d otherwise have returned...

If you think of Siargao, you eat at Cev and Backside Burger. No debate.

Bro their burger is legit fire. Came here after Cloud 9 session and ordered the classic. Patty cooked perfect, cheese on point, veggies fresh AF. That brioche bun with sesame seeds tho 👌

Coolest part was chilling with the staff. Most are from Bacolod or Siargao locals. Had some good conversations while waiting for food. They even recommended this sick spot to check out later that wasn't crowded with foreigners.

Make sure to eat outside peak hours as it tends to have long lines and run out of seats. Nothing worse than seeing everyone enjoy those burgers while you're standing hungry. Hit it up early or during off hours and you're golden.

Like they say "There's no Backside if there's no vibe" and the vibe here is solid. Food + people make this place a must-visit.

Didn't expect to get my hands on such a good burger right off the bat! Not only that the petty was juicy, but the bun was perfect! The ingredients were all fresh what the taste additionally came to the good. As a side dish, there were homemade fries, the potatoes were not peeled what I liked very much, because this has lent even more flavor. The ketchup was good but not homemade, the mayo was definitely a hit! It went perfectly with the fries. Had a good conversation with the people in and out of the restaurant. Highly recommend this place! Everyone gets their money's worth here, meat lovers or vegans, both get their perfect burgers.
