There are tons of places to eat in Iligan now. Me and my two daughters sometimes are hard pressed to come with a decision. Pizza? Fried chicken and wings? Hamburger? Full meal? Whatever it is, we always end up here at Dark Roast after a hearty meal especially when that greasy taste still linger in our palates. A cup of tea or two and a couple slice of chocolate mouse and cheese cake is always the best bet! And of course, the place good ambiance makes up for a good bonding time and volumes of my daughter's talking about their boyfriends. We always love our time here especially if we are lucky enough to claim our favorite spot which is the couch in corner. I wish there were a couple more couch since the other seating are not comfy at all. Prices are very reasonable and you can refill your teapot with hot water. Or you each can have your own since their pot of tea cost only like P70 and comes with a serving of honey as sweetener. This place is small and neat and have an even smaller kitchen but they have a decent array of pastas, pastries, and awesome cakes! Dani looooves this place! By the way, there is this particular female staff who looks really unhappy and barely smile at all. When you ask her something, she just answer you in an unfriendly manner. But as long as my two daughters don't mind, i don't mind also. I just pray that her life is not that hard on her. I always believe a little smile...

I would give it a five if smoking isn't allowed in the vicinity of the cafe. People are smoking just outside the door and the smoke gets in every time the door is being used. In terms of food, their cheesecake is all right and I love their tea. This is a place where you can study. Their wifi is good as well. I'll change my rating to 5 once I see a no smoking sign within the proximity...
