⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Perfect Merienda Buffet Experience Near Mactan Airport
I had the pleasure of trying the Merienda Buffet at Waterfront Hotel and Casino Mactan during my short layover and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise.
The food selection was excellent and truly captured the comfort and flavor of Filipino merienda. The beef mami was rich and flavorful, the siopao soft and perfectly filled, and the tsokolate impressively thick and chocolatey. There were so many snack options to choose from, including breads, kakanin, street food favorites like kwek-kwek, kikiam, maruya, and hotcakes, as well as halo-halo, fresh fruits, brined fruits, kamote, and saging. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re craving sweet, savory, or something nostalgic.
Beverage choices were also great, with tea, sago’t gulaman, and juices available to pair with your snacks.
What I really appreciated most was that the place wasn’t crowded, so it was peaceful and relaxing, a nice, quiet break compared to the usual busy airport waiting areas. The staff were all very nice, accommodating, and approachable, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The location is also convenient, just a few minutes away from the Mactan Airport departures area, and there’s even a shortcut through Shakey’s, making it easy to drop by even for those on a short layover.
Overall, this is a cozy, delicious, and relaxing merienda spot before or after a flight. I’ll definitely be back next time to try their Merienda Cena or...
