Cabalen — Restaurant in Lipa

Because it was a rush hour/ Christmas rush, I decided to dine in with Cabalen Lipa. I didn't expect much since most Cabalen restau I've been is a so-so food. tbh it is disappointing for first timers to dine in that restau but then again it isn't my first time. We were waiting outside for an attendant to come, but no luck we came in and ask if it's open lol(poor customer service to welcome you). We were deciding where to sit but the good spot with natural daylight has a broken AC so it is hot in that area. When I asked one staff to sit somewhere else, he then told me "diga't doon na kayo nakaupo?" pointing on our old seat. That's so RUDE! I won't even ask for another table if nothing is wrong with that one. He didn't even bother to ask if there's something wrong with the table we were at. I hope they would look on how they could improve their service.

The food... It is... sorry to say, not worthy the price you pay. Unless you want to avoid the crowd, then it is okay to visit in an instant since people already know it is not a good restaurant. Food choices are very limited, taste is far from delicious. It taste like "okay I'm hungry I'm no gonna be choosy". But seriously there's nothing special on their selections. Oh btw they offer a bottomless drink that looks like an instant juice purchased in supermarket but you'll pay 85Php on top of your buffet. DEFINITELY not worthy availing. They should atleast add a fruit juice that is legit juice not concentrated.

Tried this place for the first time to celebrate my Mom's 60th birthday but we were so disappointed! Days before her birthday celebration, we asked if we can already reserve seats but we were told that it is not possible to reserve seats during Sundays. We went there on Sunday noon but the place is already crowded. We were told that the tables outside are available so we agreed right away because we were with my aunties who are already seniors and we were already hungry. As we go outside, it was so dirty! Tables are full of dust and it was not well ventilated. You can also see mops and other cleaning materials on the other side. Why would they let their customers eat on that dirty place?! They could atleast clean the place before they accept customers! We asked to change our seats inside but they were always saying that those vacant tables are already reserved. I thought it was not possible to have reservations on Sunday?! We were so disappointed on...

Do not come here during these times. Just went today, december 2020 and only upon entry were we informed that they don't allow you to get the food yourselves like you normally do. You send them your orders instead. I don't know if they are still adjusting or what, but the orders come in very slow. It takes 30 mins before they send your next order and on top of that, the orders were never complete. They always send us just a little bit of stuff which would be good for maybe 3-4 people, but we were a group of 9! It was so not worth the price. We just got full eventually through waiting and frustration. Never coming back here. Food was atleast better than their megamall branch but the experience makes this branch much worse. Two thumbs down. What should have been a joyous family occassion was ruined...
