Kind of biased because I practically grew up with this restaurant, but this will always be a favorite in the area. Seoul Kitchen was my first introduction to Korean food but I believe they cater more to the taste buds of Filipinos. The food is worth coming back for again and again. There is some room for improvement when it comes to service (only in terms of flagging down the servers, because some areas are more out of reach), but everything else is 💯
Food recommendations: ✨️ Beef Kimbap - They only added this during the pandemic but it already replaced their Tuna Kimbap as my all-time favorite. ✨️ Fried Chicken - The flavors they offer blend so well with the cabbage side dish (I would personally recommend Soy Garlic and Orange Chicken). ✨️ Oreo Bingsu - If you're a fan of oreos, of course haha. Soo refreshing and fun to eat. Great treat for really hot days! ✨️ Silly Lily pastries - The pastries are so good and will satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. It's best if you get there early if you want to be able to take your pick because supplies get depleted rather quickly (bc they're really good).
Things to note: ❗️Parking is limited (around 4-5 cars), even the area surrounding the establishment. ❗️Kind of kid-friendly, they have high chairs you can place your toddlers. You just have to request for them. ❗️Waiting time during peak hours can reach 30 mins and beyond, so time your visit hahaha. ❗️The inside is not pet-friendly but there is outdoor seating where you can dine with your furbaby beside you (just make sure that they're...
Read morePurposely visited on the holiday for Silly Lilly bakehouse for their croissants. It was highly recommended by friends so we decided to check it out.
Its approximately 2 hour drive from metro manila with minimal to low traffic.
Seoul Kitchen - lunch Tuna Kimbap Dolsot kimchi jiggae Coffee Cubes with Milk ( Kokhi Kohi?? ) Chicken Curry
Food was overall sakto lang. for the price, worth it na. Mura naman kasi so cant demand too high from it. Id recommend the curry as my top choice of reco for the food. It reminds me of having curry in japan… iba lang yung breading used which is more crispy-airy than this but masarap.
Silly Lilly - take home snacks. We bought a total of 6 boxes and is say it was worth it with its price.
The reviews from friends and family given their croissants was positive and will definitely buy again ( if it werent too far of a drive. )
Ordered a lot and id say i pretty much like and enjoyed them all. Is it the best croissant? Hmm.. probably one of the top 5 for sure. I think id prefer the butter croissant to be more flakey but the flavored ones are definitely a must try and a fave. The holloween matcha has got to be my favorite from the boxes ordered. ( not too sweet, yet its very rich and paired well with the cocoa croissant ).
Comment on the place — Could use better tables as it had a foul smell ( amoy paa or amoy fast food na lamesa na nilinis ng mabahong basahan ) and the table was rocking to and from.
Yun lang. will definitely recommend for the...
Read moreI've eaten food here two separate times, one for dinner in the restaurant (back in January) and one via takeout (a couple of days ago)
The restaurant looks great but the acoustics could be improved. We were seated in the middle but it was loud even when the place slowed down. A bit warm in the place.
Wait time was a bit long, but we did arrive in the middle of a dinner rush. Plus points for having the option to request your bingsu be prepared sometime later so it doesn't melt.
I ate the Japchae and Kimbap while my boyfriend tried the Kimchi Fried Rice and Cheesy Rappokki. For dessert we had bingsu to share. The meals tasted great, which made the wait worth it.
Some staff could use some improvement I but the one server had excellent customer service skills. The waitress and other waiter who seated us seemed to have an attitude.
For takeout, the Sundubu Jjigae was in a well wrapped plastic container. They added cling film and tape to secure it. Their kimchi fried rice comes in a regular white takeout box.
Keep in mind for those with allergies: their Sundubu Jjigae contains clam and other seafood.
The wait for the food was still very long however the food was worth it.
Overall dining experience is alright, you get your money's worth (which is great because this place is pricey). Wouldn't recommend as a everyday go to place on a student budget but perfect for when you want to...
