Stepping into Kabsat Grill in Tanay, Rizal, felt like a warm hug for my Filipino soul! 🥰 As someone who enjoys authentic flavors, this place truly delivered a memorable dining experience. While the service could be a bit on the slower side, especially during peak times, the incredible food made it absolutely worth the wait! Every dish we ordered was a testament to classic Filipino comfort food, prepared with heart.

The absolute highlight for me was the Crispy Pata. Oh my goodness, that crackling skin was perfection, and the meat inside was so tender and juicy. Paired with their incredible dipping sauce – a tangy, zesty mix of vinegar, crisp cucumbers, and spicy chilies – it was a match made in culinary heaven! 💯 I could seriously eat that all day.

We also enjoyed a generous plate of Pancit Bihon, which was wonderfully savory and loaded with delicious liempo. It’s exactly the kind of noodle dish that brings back so many fond memories. To balance out the richness, the Pinakbet was vibrant and flavorful, packed with fresh, local vegetables, and the Sinigang offered that comforting, sour broth that just warms you right up. Plus, we had some perfectly steamed Siomai to kick things off! 🍜🥟

And for dessert? Their Leche Flan was the ideal sweet ending. Creamy, smooth, and with just the right amount of caramel, it was pure bliss. Kabsat Grill truly offers a fantastic taste of the Philippines, and I left feeling incredibly satisfied and happy. If you're in the Tanay area and have a little patience for service, you absolutely have to give this place a try! The food alone makes it a...

Our experience here was honestly the worst. We went as a family for Mother’s Day, around 17 of us. It was recommended by our cousin, so we gave it a shot. When we arrived, a staff member told us we had to split up because there were no tables big enough. Fine, we agreed. Then we placed our orders by writing them down on a slip, as instructed.

But wow orders started coming out one by one, and the first ones we listed? Still nothing. We followed up so many times like 7 times at least and every single time they just kept saying, “sige po ifofollow up po namin.” Only to find out later when we went to the counter ourselves that the orders weren’t even punched in. So what the hell were they following up on?

And the staff? Rude as hell. We were just asking for updates, not even demanding, and they either ignored us or straight up avoided us. One server even told us it wasn’t their fault because the kitchen “didn’t know” about the order. Are you serious? That’s literally your job to make sure the kitchen knows!

And guess what there was even a cleaner complaining out loud saying, “kanina pa ako nandito ano pati night shift ako padin” Like, excuse me?? Why are we hearing that as customers?

Food took 2 hours to arrive. Some of it we ended up canceling kasi nalipasan na kami ng gutom. My grandma didn’t even get to eat. We had to share whatever food made it to the table just so everyone had something.

This place has zero professionalism. If you can’t handle a crowd, don’t accept that many customers! No updates, no accountability, no coordination. Just chaos. Never...

We were here for lunch during a Father's Day weekend. The place was packed. It was understandable though since it was a weekend and we were there during peak hours. However, lack of system in the restaurant was very obvious. Person in charge of monitoring the queue of waiting customers often went missing. We asked if we can make an advanced order and she just gave us the order slip so we can jot down our orders. The staff seemed always confused as to which table should they serve the dishes. They would ask, "Kanino itong chicken?" or "Inyo po ba itong chopsuey"? It took us more than an hour to get seated. (which we all understood). We ordered a promo group meal with more than ten dishes but only the pizza, pasta, salad, drinks and two other items got served--after almost 2 hours! Then there was this group who got seated at the same time as ours but got served first because they are related to the manager. They bussed cheeks before leaving. Buti pa sila nabusog. We got fed up and decided that we just pay the food items served (by it's ala carte price) and left. What was really disappointing is the lack of apology from the staff and manager. It seems that they are used to dismayed customers that it no longer...

Food and drinks: We ordered bulalo and rice. What I can say about the bulalo is its really good and cooked well (not perfect). It was not salty or too oily. The bulalo did not get cold immediately even though the climate is a bit chilly. The bulalo is good for sharing and the ingredients are generous especially the leafy greens. For the coffee, I ordered salted caramel. I was a bit disappointed though as I could not even taste the salted caramel. Its like they just whisked the cream and made espresso art and forgot to add the salted caramel so its like I had coffee with milk with espresso art on top. This can still be improved though. They are on the right track for the coffee. Service was good. Though they could use some more staff around so the customers does not have to wait til someone comes up to order additional. Customers currently need to go down to make another order or maybe its because it was during the wee hours of the day that they are under staffed. Atmosphere is superb. Sipping the soup of the bulalo adds comfort in the cold mountain air. The place was good and chill vibe. Dining in a somewhat bahay kubo or tree house kind of setting really is enjoyable. Its like you are home away from home.
