Cafe Katerina is conveniently located in Marilaque, making it easy to find for both locals and travelers. The restaurant is spacious, capable of accommodating a large number of guests, which is perfect for group gatherings. However, the parking area is a bit small, which might be inconvenient during peak hours. The cafe boasts a stunning view of the Sierra Madre mountains, adding a serene and picturesque backdrop to your dining experience. The cool, windy air eliminates the need for air conditioning, contributing to a pleasant and natural ambiance. While the restaurant excels in atmosphere, the food leaves room for improvement. The nachos, though generously served, had a surprisingly sweet taste that might not appeal to everyone. Similarly, the dressing on the sausage sandwich was overly sweet, though the dish did come with a side of fries. The halo-halo, a popular Filipino dessert, could be significantly improved with more banana and milk to make it creamier. The mais con hielo was acceptable but did not particularly stand out. The service at Cafe Katerina is generally friendly and efficient. The staff are accommodating and ensure that guests are comfortable, enhancing the overall dining experience. During busy times, there might be a slight delay, but the staff's pleasant demeanor makes up for it. The prices at Cafe Katerina are reasonable considering the generous portions and the stunning views. However, given the mixed reviews on the food quality, there is potential for better value if the dishes were refined. Cafe Katerina is a delightful spot for those looking to enjoy a meal with a breathtaking view of the Sierra Madre mountains. While the ambiance and service are commendable, the food could use some fine-tuning, especially regarding the sweetness of certain dishes. Despite these drawbacks, the cafe's location and atmosphere make it worth a visit, especially for those who appreciate a scenic and relaxing...
Read moreWe decided to stop by for a quick afternoon snack before heading back to the metro. Overall experience was bad.
Parking- Attendant said already full, so 4-wheel vehicles were asked to park outside while motorcycles are requested not to lock in case they need to move it. Coming inside, it still has a lot of space. Fine but weird. They can just say it's reserved.
Ordering - Really confusing because they have 3 outlets, Main counter staff is not friendly.
Food - fine, nothing special. Service - CK Coffee staff are organized and able to serve drinks on time CK Pizzahan- After ordering, we decided to move here, which where we initially ordered just PANCAKE. We understood it was Sunday afternoon, so there may be a lot of orders, which the management did not anticipate. When we started asking for a follow-up, I saw our order slip turns out the pasta was served mistakenly to another table.
Staff - A fellow from the kitchen went out to say things like "sabihin nyo waiting time, kung ayaw wag na" (Talking to the order taker). It's bad that it took us an hour and a few mins waiting just for a pancake! No waiting time was mentioned, and that behaviour of the staff made it worse. And I feel bad for the young server who's facing the customer complaints instead of the lady who seems to be their Lead/Superior.
Later on, they declared some items unavailable anymore, or they ran out, and they provided a refund, which is also wrong amount. We had enough for that night and just left. Will never come back here! If not for the location and view, this establishment will not get returning customers anymore. Just putting this up so some people get a heads up. And I hope the manegement...
Read moreWe stopped by on a Sunday for early dinner, we ordered a plate of pancit and bilao na may mixed ulam and rice. It was not busy, there's plenty of tables.
After we ordered our food arrived our table paisa isa. We tried to call the attention of waiters when the food arrived to ask for glasses and water (one saw us but deadma didn't acknowledged us, another one saw us and walked passed us. My hubby went to the station where a staff was wiping utensils to ask for glasses and jug of water) as soon as he walked away back to wiping prang walang nakausap. My hubby went back then he actually moved to prepare what we asked for. Then again, we tried to asked for something, same thing happened deadma, walang pumapansin and to be honest they're not that busy... its frustrating to witness this kind of service. Hindi kami entitled but there are things we cannot access, sana ginawa na lng self-service dba kung lahat nlng we have to walk up to them.
The part that angered my hubby is when he asked for toothpick he actually walked up to a waiter... na gulat ako tiningnan lng hubby ko then sabay walked away po hawak ng resibo. Nkaka loka kayo Cafe Katerina.
And lastly, when we tried to pay gcash gusto nyo in different gcash number kasi iba iba yung part ng resto?! Pero pag cash payment okay lng.
Ang gulo nyo, ayusin nyo po systema mo. I used to visit this resto before all this reno and upgrade, mas okay pa yung dati eh. Now... I must say, I will stay away from this place. Sayang masarap food niyo dati but now disappointed, service was better...
