Maybe I came at a wrong time? 11am for lunch. Initially I was impressed by the homey feel climbing up to the resto. Passed by the museum and the flight of stairs going up to the main dining area. However, I was weirded out by the staff cleaning the stairs at that time because I found it untimely. But I brushed it off. So we ended in the main dining area. Room was aesthetically pleasing and the rustic Filipino feel was there but however the dirty floors and the swarm of flies just killed the feeling. We ordered our food anticipating to have a pretty good experience but the party of flies that came before us just owned the dining room and wouldn't leave us alone. I asked my hubby to put the fan right beside us but the crazy strong uninvited guests just kept landing at our food. Was I there at the wrong time? My goodnesssssss, how unfortunate of me. I didn't attempt to use the restroom and just brushed off the idea of those partying flies landing on my food before it reached me. The horrifying thought kept crossing my mind after I ate my meal. I don't think I'm ever coming back again. Take a look at the pics.. Food looks appetizing. Too bad right. Yeah... Eat at your own risk. The food was pretty good, just that the beef was chewy too 😬 Ugh now come to think of it. I hope I didn't chew on wriggly babies now inside of me 😱

The drive going to this place was nice. And though there was a checkpoint, we were allowed to pass thru. Upon arrival, parking was a bit of a problem as it was full. So we parked on the other side of the road(which was also full of vehicles and big bikes). When we got to the restaurant, we were lucky to get a table in the veranda outside. It was under a tree so it was shaded. The restaurant was full, including the cottages. Anyway, we got tocilog, sisig, ensaladang talong, pork steak and tsokolate. Everything tasted good. The tocino and pork steak was soft and delicious. The sisig was also delicious. It was creamy and crunchy. The ensalada was also good. I just thought the bagoong was too much. The tsokolate was great! I ordered another as dessert. Hehehe. It was that good! Anyway, if you're looking for a great breakfast place outside of Manila, this is a great place to go.

A cozy restaurant with an artistic vibe in Tanay, Rizal which fusions a restaurant and an art museum. A stop to this place would be worthwhile as the scenery, ambience and food makes up for the travel in an escape from the urban life. Tasty all day breakfast meals are unbelievably affordable. Traditional Filipino dishes were freshly cooked. Some of Paseo’s popular dishes: Bulalo, kare-kare, crispy pata and sizzling were filling and delicious, with their Hot chocolate or coffee, turon ala mode and suman sa latik as best meal ender. The owner/manager is so friendly with the guests and staffs were nice. Great place to dine in with family and friends. A must visit in Tanay, highly recommended!

Terrible experince, we’ve been waiting for so long for a crew to attend us just to provide the menu. A lady crew approached us and we asked for a menu. She confirmed that she’ll come back to get the menu, but she never came back, i found out after i went to the counter she was just in the pantry area seating and merely looked at me. I was surprised, so i asked for another crew man, he advice us,”sorry we dont serve at this moment, your order might take some time due to many orders”. I answered, “so, why that lady crew never advised us and leave us hanging & waiting for so long”. After that, we leave right away, we moved to Pico De Pino, there, the system of serving is good, we were serve right away without the need to wait for so long even the place was more crowded...
