***My Go-To Stopover*** Every time I ride my motorcycle or take a road trip with my family in the car, Tanay Viewpoint Garden Café and Restaurant has become my usual stopover. It’s a place I look forward to, whether I’m traveling solo or with loved ones. *The View and Ambience: The stunning view is always a highlight. Overlooking the Sierra Madre mountain range and the Pililla wind turbines, the scenery never gets old. The garden setup creates a relaxing atmosphere, making it perfect for taking a breather during a long ride or simply enjoying quality time with family. Adding to the charm is the rich aroma of roasted coffee that fills the air. Since they roast, grind, and brew their coffee on-site, the freshness and quality are unmistakable, and it’s an experience that truly enhances the visit. *The Food and Drinks: The menu offers a mix of local favorites and comfort food. I always enjoy their Signature Waffle and Pizza, though some dishes could use a little more flavor. One of the absolute must-tries here is their Tsokolate Batirol. This traditional Filipino hot chocolate is thick, rich, and packed with deep cocoa flavor. Served piping hot, it’s the perfect companion to the cool mountain breeze and adds a comforting touch to any visit. *Service: One aspect of the experience that remains consistent—every single time I visit—is the staff's approach. They always lead you to your table and provide the menu but tend to leave you on your own after that. You need to call their attention to place your order, which can be frustrating, especially since they often gather near the counter. While they are polite, a more proactive and attentive service approach would greatly improve the overall experience. *Facilities: I’m happy to note that their restroom facilities have improved significantly over time. They’re now more convenient and well-maintained, which adds to the overall comfort of the visit. *Final Thoughts: Tanay Viewpoint is my go-to rest stop not just for the incredible views but also for its welcoming vibe, the unmistakable aroma of freshly roasted coffee, and their unbeatable Tsokolate Batirol. The fact that they roast, grind, and brew their coffee on-site and serve such an authentic, comforting hot chocolate and foods makes every visit special. It’s the perfect place to recharge during a ride or a family road trip. ***Would I recommend it? Absolutely! It’s a great spot to pause and take in the beauty of Tanay, whether you’re riding solo or with your loved ones

A good place to enjoy alfresco dining with some room for improvement Firstly the flies are abundant here. Need to constantly swing your hands to put them away, especially when eating. Need to follow up just for them to hand over the menu. The waiter doesn't interact as the menu is just placed on the tabletop. Waiters don't repeat the orders for you to verify if it's correct and complete. Food taste: average It's like getting what you paid for Talsilog cold (room temp.) yellow rice when served Also the eggs. It's like they prepared it beforehand and just assembled it when you ordered. Tapa is good, above average taste compared to other tapa we tried. But the serving size of the tapa is small for the price. Chicken wings average taste but it's crispy. We ordered the garlic parmesan flavor. The flavoring is just sprinkled on top and not mixed like the typical Korean-style chickens from other restaurants. The pasta is overcooked and the bread they used is not toasted with a weird aftertaste on the bread. Spanish sardines with salted eggs are not recommended in my opinion. Coffee-based drinks are ok, hence their name Café And they take pride in their Coffee beans The pastries were not to my liking as we ordered their table cheesecake. I just don't like the tanginess of the cheesecake plus the bitter taste of tablea is not a good combination in my opinion. Overall Place is spacious Quite windy and not hot even at lunchtime Service can be improved to justify the 10% service charge. A small improvement in the food quality. Serve it hot and cook the food correctly. Flies should be addressed as it takes away the good dining experience The pricing-to-food ratio is good A good place to spend your time and have a quick meal with a view

They have a nice area, great atmosphere, but they lack in food taste and service. The food looks good but was under seasoned. The waffle itself tastes meh without the jams and cream. The Salted Caramel coffee doesn't seem to have Caramel. The plate of garlic rice is generous though, it says 3-4 pax but I think its 4-5 and has plenty of garlic. The Beef tapa is very sweet to my liking (but this is personal). Service is slow and unorganized. Our order was: 2 Salted Caramel Coffee 2 Batirol Chocolate 2 Beef Tapa 1 Pakbet with Bagnet 1 Plate of Garlic Rice 1 Strawberry Waffles How it was served (we had to wait 15 mins before the first one came in, then each serving has 3-4 mins waiting time in between): The first to arrive was 1 Salted Caramel Coffee (Yes, only 1) The next one is a BANANA Waffle (Nope, not our order). Then the right Strawberry Waffle Came. Then 1 of the Beef Tapa (Again, only 1 was served) Followed by the Pakbet with Bagnet. Next is the 2 Batirol. Then the Garlic Rice plate. Then the 2nd Salted Caramel. And lastly the 2nd Beef Tapa after following up. Yes, it's quite messed up. I have no idea why the 2 Salted Caramel and 2 Beef Tapa has that much gap. We ordered once with no correction, the server even repeated the order perfectly. The 2 batirols was served at the same time, so why not the salted caramel? And why serve 1 beef tapa now and the other later? Isn't it faster if you work on the same order and then serve it right away?
