OVER EASY, MARIKINA - FAMILY FEAST REVIEW
We had an indulgent Sunday lunch at Over Easy in Marikina and honestly, everything we ordered hit the spot. The place was packed when we arrived—Sunday lunch rush—but the staff handled it well. Service was great, fast and friendly. The food? A bit pricey, yes—but totally worth it. It’s the kind of place you’d save up for, perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or just when you want to treat yourself and your family to something special.
Here’s what we had:
Mac and Cheese with Bacon Bits Super creamy and cheesy, just the way mac and cheese should be. The bacon bits gave it a salty crunch that elevated the whole dish. Paired with garlic bread that’s toasted just right—comfort food at its finest.
Beef Nachos Generous servings and a satisfying crunch. The beef was tender and flavorful, and it was loaded with cheese sauce and lettuce. Definitely good for sharing—though you might not want to.
Mango Shrimp Salad Refreshing and light. The combination of sweet mango, crunchy walnuts, and fresh shrimp made for a great contrast to the other rich dishes. Loved the vinaigrette dressing on the side—you can control the zing.
Cheesy Potato Balls Golden and crispy outside, soft and cheesy inside. Loved the thick cheese sauce drizzled all over and the dip that came with it. Crowd favorite, especially for the kids.
BBQ Ribs with Fries and Potato Chips Fork-tender ribs with a thick, sticky BBQ sauce that’s smoky and sweet. The fries and crispy potato rounds were addictive, and even the corn and green beans on the side felt well thought out.
Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings Crispy, flavorful, and coated generously with garlicky parmesan goodness. Perfectly seasoned, crunchy but not greasy. Will go back just for this.
Over Easy Cheeseburger Juicy beef patty, topped with bacon and a perfectly cooked sunny-side egg. Each bite was indulgent and rich. Served with fries and some fresh greens on the side to balance it out.
Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream The perfect end to a heavy meal. Warm, gooey chocolate center paired with cold vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Classic combo that never fails.

Final Thoughts We walked away full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Over Easy is a place you return to—with family, with friends, or just when you need a comfort food fix that...
Read moreI will give the waitresses 5 stars for an over the top customer service and professionalism. On top of that, their uniform is formal and neat. Their make up is impeccable.
With that being said, lets start off with their interior. A rustic, mural-painted walls and a dark cinematic themed lighting. still 5 star for that..
now the food ...
Food was meh,
Crispy Pata was deep fried 10 minutes over, it made the pata taste like chicharon.
The chicken wings took an hour to cook, they used a generic sauce for their buffalo wings... The parmesean was good.
The chicken pesto pasta looked more like chicken curry , and for heaven's sake, what happened to the chicken? why is it pink?
The babyback ribs was.... - no comment, i didnt taste it..
The worst food was the pork sisig, it surely tasted and looked like frozen sisig that was microwaved and was plated well just to look appetizing.
Their redemption food was the mashed potato. thats it...
Now lets talk about the criteria that made the experience all worst. As per the waitress, they can house up to 50 pax inside. Earlier during lunch, it rounded up to like a hundred guests. Imagine a restaurant with warm food and overpopulated warm bodied individuals.. the place was boiling... steaming.... parang nag samgyupsal sa init at pawis..
mapapatawad na ang pagkain pero Over Easy, be sensitive naman kung nakita niyo na ang mga guests niyo parang nag work out at zumba sa pawis. kahit mag ambag nalang...
Read moreThey serve good food for a cafe. We ordered the following: Gambas: serving was ok for it's price. Good presentation, the flavor was ok except , I could definitely say the shrimps weren't fresh. It was overcooked too which was a good decision since it's not fresh. Would've been worse if it was halfcooked. For now I'll give it a 3/5. If the shrimp was fresh I'll give it a 5/5
Creamy pesto penne: Just right amount of cheese and creaminess, any more than what they served would over power the basil and olive oil. Lacks aroma. Serving is good for sharing. Probably 2-3 . I'll give this 4/5
Mushroom soup: not sure if its name is really mushroom soup. Tastes just right, not too salty, smells nice too, priced just right and good for sharing too. 5/5 for us
Lemon and basil juice?: There's lemon, there's basil and there's soda. This is a carbonated drink, so if you're not into that, maybe you can request to remove the soda. 3/5 for me since I can't really taste the basil. It didn't say on the menu that it's got soda on it too.
I liked the place but it was too noisy for us. Maybe because we went there during lunch?
If you're looking for a quiet cafe where you can work or study I won't recommend this place.
If you're looking for a place to grab food whether it's breakfast, lunch ,dinner or coffee, place to have a conversation or meeting, I think this place is good. They have good food,...
