La Trinidad Pension House — Hotel in Marikina

Seriously? This is the worst place I have ever been to. If you are too early and just want to wait they will ask you if you want an early check-in, which is okay BUT you have to pay P200 per hr YES 200 PER HOUR and we are 3 hrs earlier so we actually waited in their lobby for an hour before they ask for the early check in. I was surprised and it's my first hearing that.. Okay theres more.. A background story we thought why they asked us for an early check-in, because there's a wedding photo session in their lobby (we arrived but the photographer aren't there yet) so maybe the staff was forced to ask us to get the early check-in option. You see right?||||We accepted that because we are tired from the travel, traffic and it's raining so hard we just wanted to rest. So we get the standard room which is the aircon is too loud, no window, its only a few mins like 5 mins and so we said to the staff that we don't like the room and it's better to wait in the lobby so we can check the other room and asked for a refund WELL after a short discussion they returned the P400 it back.||||I just can't handle how poor the service was and especilly the word of mouth they have is just too bad.||||We booked 4 rooms which was ALL PAID (we are a group of 8 people), and gave us only 3 rooms, we are lucky to arrive first among in our group so we got the first room (we actually upgraded to a suite), then friends in the 2nd and 3rd, but unfortunately for our 2 friends left, the staff can't provide a room for them. It's already in the evening my friends was really tired and exhausted after the event we came from and just wanted to rest. The staff that talking to us was already gone also the other's the only remaining was the guy who gives towels etc. He gave us the phone number of the lady staff and my friends talked to her, they want to offer an extra bed and stay in our room but after the discussions in the end my friends just wanted to go and not stay. I checked in this Marikina Pension House 3 months ago and the experience was very unpleasant. First, the staff or front desk clerk (whatever) gave me a price which was not the one declared in this website. On top of the "regular room rate of P1,300, I was asked to pay an additional P650 for the additional person in one room (we were 3 back then). No problem. Then the staff asked me to post a refundable deposit of P500 for God knows what (which is very insulting since you were tagged at the onset of checking in for "damages". Lo and behold! We were given a room with 2 beds for three persons fully paid per head!! The TV and remote doesn't work, the aircon seemed to be struggling to blow cool air even though the settings were on maximum then the comfort room stinks!!! I am semi handicapped, and use a cane to walk but the numbskull at the receiving desk assigned us on the third floor where I struggled to go up and later down. This is one worst places I have been to. You booked a room a week before but they will suddenly tell you the day before your preferred date that they cannot give you your preferred room because they prefer to give to another person. Which so unprofessional , one of their staff is rude and do not even know what to do or say. All they do was accept your request and when they find someone better or someone who can pay them better they will give it without even considering were you from. OH! I forgot to say if they cannot explain and justify what they did , they will just hang the phone and ignore you. SO...
