While I do love the place and how cozy it feels with the decor and lighting but it's a bit too cramped and small for my liking. Not only is the restaurant small but so is their menu. They only have around 40 food options give or take.
That being said, if I may suggest, could you also please indicate in your menu which items are meant for sharing and which are not? It may not be a problem for the customers to ask these questions but it could actually be quite a hassle for your personnel having to repeat themselves over and over, not taking into consideration how understaffed you are and how busy it can get.
All that aside though, the food is surprisingly good. I enjoyed their baby back ribs, lumpia, pancit bihon, as well as their kare-kare. But, their portions are quite small though if we really take into account how pricey they can be.
Overall, a 3/5 dining experience. Food was great, place was great, but something's can be made...

They don't have much on their menu line up which are mainly rice meals, pizza, snacks, and drinks.
You won't see any pics or visuals of the food on their menu (or anywhere inside the store). So the fact that they don't have much on the menu, plus, you will be clueless of what their food looks like, choosing your food order is a bit of a challenge.
For one, i ordered their Spaghetti (no description of the pasta whatsoever). It came out as sardines or tuna pasta in tomato sauce. Priced at 120, i was in doubt if that comes with a piece of bread or not. Yes, it wasn't. Good thing i ordered Quesadilla which i was imagining that comes with tomato dip or something. But it came out with some sort of (balsamic) vinegar with bits of yellow tomato and onion.
Overall, my experience here is pleasant...
Read moreEat here. We met friends here and I had not heard of it. I first noticed the plants and thought they were great decorations. I then learned some of the plants are there to grow and be used in the meals after I saw a lettuce plant picked up to be taken to the kitchen and used for food. I've never seen this before and was impressed.
The food exceeded my expectations. The chicken inasal, pork bbq, baby back ribs and grilled bangus were higher quality than what I've had in Dipolog. The chicken and pork had a slight smoky grilled flavor with a great sauce. Again, very pleased. The Mango sago was delicious as was the avocado shake.
Like most restaurants in Dipolog, the space was not very big but they made good use of it. Service was great for us as well.
I went in unaware of Dottie's and left a fan....
