I recently visited Chops Café in the afternoon and was initially impressed by the cozy atmosphere and pleasant ambience. Their uniforms were good and nice-looking, adding to the overall positive first impression. However, my experience quickly soured due to the poor service.
There were three people at the counter when I arrived, one male and two females. When I asked about their cup sizes for milk tea, the male employee merely used his hands to estimate the sizes, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Throughout my entire order, the staff continued chatting among themselves, paying little attention to my presence. It was disappointing to feel ignored and undervalued as a customer.
I believe that the owner should prioritize hiring staff not only for their skills but also for their respect and hospitality towards customers. They should understand the importance of attentive service and know when to prioritize customer interactions over personal conversations. It's essential for them to realize that customers deserve undivided attention during their ordering process.
Furthermore, the packaging of their beverages was subpar compared to other cafes in the area. There were no stickers or marks indicating that the drinks were from Chops Café, which could have enhanced their brand recognition and overall appeal. Additionally, the quality of the straws was disappointing, resembling those used for soft drinks or shakes rather than a beverage like milk tea.
To add to my disappointment, what they served me was not even milk tea; it resembled more of an iced coffee. This further highlights the lack of attention to detail and quality control at Chops Café. Moreover, the taste of the milk tea was inconsistent; it started off sweet but gradually lost its flavor, leaving me with a bland drink.
On a positive note, their service in serving my order was fast, but this alone does not compensate for the other shortcomings in the overall experience.
The taste of the milk tea was also underwhelming and did not justify its cost, which was ₱176 since I gave a ₱200 bill and received ₱24. In comparison, ₱39 drinks from places like Uncle Brew not only include tapioca pearls as expected but also offer a much richer and enjoyable flavor profile, making them a better value for the price.
While the café's ambiance is charming and the uniforms are well-designed, the lack of attention and respect from the staff, along with the substandard packaging, low-quality straws, inconsistent flavor, and unsatisfactory taste of the beverages, make it difficult for me to recommend Chops Café for their...
Read moreGrilled fish w/rice and raw salad (ahhhh salad), grilled pork chop w/ fries and bbq sauce and breaded pork chop with sour cream fries. Very Scrumptious and Yummy. I hoped the fries came with the sour cream on the side. I cant get use to sour cream powder. The fish was sooo good (I usually dont eat frish because its fishy, this was just Right), and the breaded chop ruled. Friendly staff (as always in the Philippines), fast service, great tasting food, cool interior.....and the beer was as cold as my ex heart. Smack in the city/village center. We'll be back soon. We'll even bring the the kids.... eh, or maybe not. Why mess up the experience, they only do...
Read moreFood wise, superb and worth your buck 👌🏼 They’re best seller is of course their breaded pork chop & chicken strips combo. Quite unsatisfied with the serving size for the pan grilled chicken compared to the other dishes with bigger portions but similar price range. Had chops burger for take out and it is also a must try, still juicy despite the 3hr travel time. The place is just near the city hall so it’s easy to navigate. They have parking space just beside the building. Overall, great place to consider for dining with family and friends as they have very...
