Silayushi Restaurant — Restaurant in Negros Occidental

Great place, out of the way for most people if they're from Bacolod City, but if you can drop by then you should definitely try it. It's quite intimate since the place is small. The place looks aesthetic and the food presentation was good, especially for the California Maki, which had this beautiful glass set piece. Its clear the place cares about its aesthetic. The food was good. I personally got to eat the california maki and it had a refreshing taste. I also had the stir fry udon and yakisoba. Both noodles were flavorful, though if youre not into salty food, the stir fry was a little salty, but I enjoy salty food! The service was good. Today, we drove from Bacolod to Silay and arrived at Silayushi at about 6:30pm.

At 7:50pm (more than an hour’s wait), I inquired how much longer it will take for the food to be served. The lady said they are still working on the other table’s order but we are next in line.

I shared that it would have been appreciated if expectations were set with regard to the wait time. She turned her back and walked away.

After a few minutes, the people at the other table stood up and cancelled their order.

At 8:18 pm, I asked if we can do the same and they said it’s okay if we cancel since they are actually just preparing our food (and have not started cooking it yet??).

No apologies, no empathy. We just wasted ~2...

The experience was incredibly disappointing. We waited over an hour for our meals, and during that time, the staff failed to provide any updates on our order. Despite the long wait, they didn’t even serve water, which felt particularly neglectful. There were no complimentary items offered to make up for the delay, and not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience.

To make matters worse, we ultimately left the restaurant without eating anything, as our meals were never served. We walked out feeling tired, hungry, and frustrated, having wasted a significant amount of time. Given the lack of service and attention, I cannot recommend this...
