We had lunch here and got to taste their Chinese-inspired cuisine - sweet and sour lapu-lapu (they claimed to be their specialty), pancit bihon, chopsuey, and special fried rice - seems like your normal Chinese menu but it was indeed tasty. The lapu-lapu was filleted so every sweet and sour bite was unhindered by any bones. Their garlicky pancit bihon was also one of the best I've tasted so far. The veggies in the chopsuey were cooked just right with the crunch still in them. Then we had their special halo-halo for dessert. Aling Taleng's was my standard but their halo-halo was a class of its own and was soooo creamy and yummy! What I also truly appreciated was the service. The staff were very patient and friendly. They even evacuated us one by one, holding up umbrellas for us when it started to rain as we were in one of the small huts. They ended up getting drenched instead of us. Tip: If you want some peace and quiet, choose the huts at the back. The comfort rooms were clean and ambiance restful. All in all, a very good place to eat and enjoy the breeze from the...
Read moreUpdate April 2024 - The halo halo has gone downhill and it’s sad to see. It lacked flavor, freshness, and presentation. It does not include leche flan anymore. The lumpia we ordered was burnt and the cup of rice was crumbly. I would not dine here again.
May 2018 - Go here for the halo halo! They put generous ube halaya and leche flan. It would be made better if they used fresh milk, but nonetheless the taste is amazing! I prefer it over Aling Taleng's.
The rooms are basic, but they are comfortable enough with AC's to make it cooler. We got a room overlooking the river, and I liked the "I love Pagsanjan" mural located at the river landing. Great for picture taking! It's a quick jeepney ride to the plaza, and there's also a bar/restaurant up the street called Garage 86. You can also purchase/schedule your boat ride to Pagsanjan Falls from here, even if you're not a guest.
They don't offer breakfast silog plates, but can make one for you if you request. Tasty lumpia as well. Overall, a good option to stay at when...
Read moreThe place is beautifully located right beside the river, which adds a refreshing touch to the dining experience. It was quite busy during lunchtime, but the scenic view made the wait more enjoyable. I was with a large group and we were pretty hungry, so we placed our order while waiting to be seated, which helped speed things up. After about 15 minutes, we got our table. We initially thought the food would arrive shortly after, but it took about 20 more minutes once we were seated. The dishes started arriving one by one, and although the drinks took a bit longer than expected and a few items needed follow-up, the food was absolutely delicious! When we asked for the bill, there were a couple of items mistakenly included that we didn't order or receive, but this was eventually sorted out. All in all, the food was amazing, and with a little improvement in service, the experience could be even better. Sometimes, great food deserves equally...
