Terrible experience at this restaurant. Even more terrible dealing with the Chinese chef-manager. Sunday lunch with the family was ruined because of a COCKROACH in the 2-way duck dish we ordered. The waitress attempted to remove the soiled dish from our table but I didn’t allow it. I asked for the manager and it took a while for the manager to arrive. An “in-charge” staff was sent first. Upon arriving, the chef-manager, visibly ticked-off already, attempted the same. When I stopped him, he flew into a tantrum, spouting out irrelevant issues like they have been doing business for a long time. I said, you can look but not take it with you back to the kitchen. He then told me to go ahead do whatever I want to do and kept arguing with me. So I finally stood up and told him to offer to me again to “do what I wanted to do”. That’s when he backed off, “apologized”, offered to take the dish off the bill and gave us dessert (which I didn’t touch). Not going back that filthy and poorly managed place, ever.

The original Mandarin Palace now known as South Mandarin Restaurant along Aguirre St. This has been a BF go-to for dimsum and Chinese food. We had the usual suspects of Kikiam, Hakaw, Chicken Feet, Pork Siomai and Kropek for appetizers (dimsum). Followed by their Spinach soup which came packed with chicken meat, Salt and Pepper Squid, French Beans with Ground Pork, Sweet and Sour Pork, Beef with Broccoli, Yang Chow Fried Rice and Birthday Noodles. For a filling, delicious meal that won't break the bank, South Mandarin in Aguirre is a beloved BF Institution.

Some of the better Chinese food in the area, very extensive menus for main dishes, lunch sets and dimsum. The quality of the dimsum is above average however it is all prepared (not made to order) which leaves it lukewarm most of the time. Wouldn't go out of the way to eat here for a special event however they can accommodate for groups. Quality of meats are also above average however the chicken they use is questionable (looks very anemic) though it is properly prepared. Service is swift, decor is average and the location is fairly well kept.

‪HORRIBLE experience at Mandarin Palace BF Parañaque tonight. Waited 30mins+ for our order only to find out they FORGOT about it.

No apology, no explanation. Pointed fingers at each other. They didn’t daw notice the order slip left at the desk. To think we added an additional item specifically for the shabu-shabu.

Sarap sana but sobrang PALPAK ng staff.‬ Ang dami dami nilang nakatayo don. And it wasn’t even crowded tonight.

Never going back and will relay my experience to everyone I know. Kahit sorry wala kaming narinig, nakatingin lang sila at kumakamot ng ulo. I hope management sees the CCTV so they’ll know how useless their...
