Hole in the wall gem find in the south that serves cater quality food and five star hotel service from staff.
We loved the creamy salpicao, the beef melts in the mouth. The rice it came with was a bit dry. I'm just a soft and fluffy kind of rice person.
Herb butter shrimp was alright, and truffle wild mushroom pasta was okay but both lacked the oompf/umami factor. Nothing a bit of salt for the pasta and lemon for the shrimp can't fix. I think we should have researched more what their best sellers were. I'm pretty sure it would have been delicious.
Nachos was a good appetizer. But what I really commend is the lychee slush. It was so delicious and light to the taste. The iced latte my family had was a bit watered down, but we all prefer strong coffee in general. The mango smoothie was the usual taste.
Overall, we loved the staff the most. Their attentiveness and willingness to serve, reminded us of the service we had in spiral sofitel. They were that great. Before we even ask for what we need, they already anticipate it and provide it for us. Special mention to Jude and Vanaugh* if I got the spelling right. Thank you for the warm and delightful experience.
They serve you chips and refreshers while you wait for your order and table. They also serve you mint after your meal and a cold towel. That was so cute.
But like I said, it's a hole in the wall restaurant that parking is quite difficult especially with the volume of customers they cater to. There was a vacant lot a few meters away from the restaurant where you can park.
This restaurant is also inside a village. So it will be a difficult access to those who does not own a vehicle. They offer al fresco dining and air-conditioned area, but the heat has been off the charts lately maybe that's why it felt a bit hot even inside.
Overall I would recommend you try this place with a group of people since their servings are good for sharing.
Thank you for the food and most especially...
Read moreI can understand why this restaurant is popular. It has a nice ambience, even nicer staff and the food has big servings. However, is the food that delicious? It’s kind of a mixed bag. Admittedly, there were some pasta dishes I wanted to try (but we couldn’t finish them all if we ordered too much)
Free Bread and Chips with Sundried Tomato Sauce - 5/5 - it was delicious yet free. Enough said.
Wild Mushroom Vegetable Soup - 3/5 - cream-based soup with hints of vegetable and mushrooms. We could easily tell that it used a lot of roux because of the heavy butter flavor and thickness of the soup. I personally wish the soup was more viscous. It was too heavy and thick imho.
Tablo Signature Sisig - 3.5/5 - they added tortilla strips to add a flavor of crunch, which was okay but not game changing. The sisig taste was good but some parts of the sisig were too tough because they were overcooked.
Tofu Stir-Fry - 2/5 - I expected better from this dish. Making a stir-fry is easy and the ultimate food. They really like to focus on texture because they made the vegetables long and crunchy. This is fine but the squash was undercooked!! Vegetables can be made tender yet crunchy. The stir-fry sauce was so-so; it could have used more sugar.
Boneless Pablo Fried Chicken - 5/5 - my favorite dish from this meal. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth soft while have a crunchy exterior. I’m unsure if I was suppose to dip it in the gravy or the honey, because I enjoyed it even without the sauce.
Huge shoutout to the waiters here. I thought they were understaffed because there was so much people in the restaurant, but I think they were fast, courteous and efficient. Same goes for the parking attendant outside the restaurant!...
Read moreI was just looking for a restaurant in the south and I saw this nearby. This restaurant is located along BF homes Paranaque. The place looks very cozy and there is a decent parking space. The staff are very friendly and approachable even if it's a busy day (we visited on a Sunday lunch tome) Menu selection is nice. Mostly meals for sharing.
We appreciate the complimentary chips/kropek. Serving time is just right.
We tried their pork steak ranchero, chicken parmigiano and nachos. Serving is very generous. Legit for sharing (good for 3-4 people). The pork steak ranchero has a unique and delicious flavor. My brother loved it so much. The Chicken Parmigiano pasta is perfectly cooked and is one of the best pasta I tried in the metro. The nachos taste great and crunchy. We also had their coffee (Hazelnut latte and Ube latte) and I think it's worth the price because of the serving size and the quality of the coffee. The server mentioned that Ube latte is new and it tastes really good. Ube + Coffee is an unexpectedly good combo. May be a bit sweet compared to the Ube latte I had before from a coffee shop in Baguio but otherwise I loved it because their coffee has the perfect blend.
Price point is just right considering the quality and serving size. Perfect for groups.
Highly recommended! We'll probably visit again at another branch (we live far from here) or here if we...
