I recently visited Jiang Nan in BF Homes Parañaque with my family and had an outstanding hotpot experience that delivered great value without compromising on quality, taste, or service.

As a newcomer to the hotpot scene, my perspective is from a fresh and untrained palate. We opted for their US and Angus beef, accompanied by a variety of seafood, pork, and beef balls, as well as an assortment of vegetables and mushrooms. Often, in buffet or unlimited dining settings, the quality of ingredients can be lacking, but Jiang Nan's offerings were impressive. While not of premium grade, each ingredient was notably high quality. The seafood and pork balls offered a complex and diverse range of flavors, and the beef strips were fatty and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, leaving us craving more. The vegetables and mushrooms were crisp and fresh, perfectly complementing our hotpot.

A highlight of our meal was Jiang Nan’s signature sauce, which paired wonderfully with all the proteins. The balance of sweetness, tanginess, and saltiness was just right, enhancing each bite without overpowering it.

The restaurant also provides complimentary drinks, including a refreshing plum juice, and a delightful free ice cream to end the meal on a sweet note.

The only minor inconvenience was the lack of an in-house toilet. However, there is one conveniently located a few steps outside the establishment.

The staff at Jiang Nan were attentive and kind, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Unlike some other dining experiences where service can feel slow and restrictive, the team here made sure we felt well-cared for and promptly attended to.

Arrived there before 6pm so the place wasn't crowded, we still had to wait to be seated. I've noticed they're more accommodating to bigger groups compared to couples.

In their checklist/menu we checked some of the meats/veggies/tofus/assorted balls and rice that we wanted to add to our hotpot (btw mushroom soup is a good soup base) and out of all the ones we checked what was delivered to our table was 70% accurate, they didn't bother to tell us if some of the items were available or not, like we had to hear it from a fellow customer. Upon our second order the same thing happened and I still haven't received cup of rice at this point haha. Throughout the dinner my partner thought it would be best to follow up directly with the waiter, instead of rice we were given plum juice. I didn't want to dispute it honestly since the manager(?) was there personally serving a family near us, and baka pagod lng ung staff on that day or they were pre-occupied.

Also after asking the waiter for water/orange juice refills for several time (kudos to him) when he saw na 1/4 nalang yung natira sa juice, he refilled it right away hehe.

Would I return here? Maybe if the service was better and shorter waiting time, since they have a limit of 2hrs max din. The food is good nman there a few miss pero majority of the food is worth your money. I think it would be better din if waiters explained how the policy would go...
