I was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Korean BBQ place with charcoal grills in Tiendesitas. Charcoal just beats gas anytime. What a delight! Service was quick and polite, they didn't miss a beat. It wasn't smoky inside and smelled only slightly of smoke, although tables and chairs could use a fresh coat of paint. It's best to keep the grill going for a bit until the open fire turns into breathing coals before cooking the meat. We ordered top blade steak, which was best cooked to medium doneness otherwise overcooked pieces were tough. We also had the marinated pork, which was very tender and sweet. Because of the sugar, it was also easy to burn on a hot grill. The side dishes were numerous and delicious. I always check the kimchi and it was a step above, crunchy with a good amount of spice without being hot. We had pajeon, which was miraculously crunchy outside and generous with the seafood. This never happens, usually pajeon in other places can be soft and soggy. This was a great surprise. We also had gimbap, which was good but not amazing, and we didn't need a serve of rice because of it. On a late Sunday afternoon, at least 1/3 of the occupied tables were occupied by Koreans, so it seems it's frequented by the local community. In all, a wonderful experience, and twice the quality and authenticity compared to other unlimited Korean BBQ places...
Read moreMasil has lately been one of our top places to go for Korean food. Meats, dishes, banchan are sumptuous; service is reliable and fast; quality is at par with what you pay for (our bill is typically ~₱2.3k for 2pax).
The vibe of the place is very casual and homey (not uptight or anything). Plenty of parking space as well right outside.
Highly recommend letting them cook the meats if you’re ordering KBBQ to ensure high quality results. I’m surprised that they could have Samgyeopsal at such a high quality and make it so flavorful—they have the best so far on my list!
Their banchan is really delicious. Albeit the variety is less than others, gosh, each one of the banchan they serve is really good. I wish they would allow us to purchase banchan to take home. Lol.
Love their jokbal as well! Flavorful, succulent, tender, meaty. This will definitely be the place I’ll get jokbal from when another craving hits.
Masil also gave me my first experience at naengmyon and it was so good!
Overall, this is a very reliable place to get good quality Korean food—so far, everything we’ve ordered here have been...
Read moreWe arrived a few minutes before 9.30PM and they still let us in. No difference in service if we arrived earlier. We were supposed to play Mobile Legends while eating but didn't have good reception. The waitress mentioned there's wifi and he owner helped in connecting all of our phones. We got connection good for browsing but not for MOBA. The food is always good here. We got a set meal for 4 and there were five of us and it was just enough. This place is good for dining with friends, family, and even your SO as they have ala carte in the menu. Would definitely come back here for a quality korean food. They will cook the meat for you. You might get out of here smelling like bbq but it's ok since you know it's good bbq. You can just press a button to call a waitress. Great...
