Romantic Baboy Robinsons Metroeast — Restaurant in Pasig

Visited on a Saturday evening at 8 PM to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were seated immediately with no wait. The staff informed us that the last orders are taken at 8:45 PM since they close at 9 PM.

I love this place because they use charcoal grills instead of butane, which adds a fantastic flavor to the food. There are numerous side dishes to choose from, including sweet potato, green onions, fish cake, jjapchae, and pickled radish. We usually start with the beef bulgogi, which cooks quickly and helps curb our hunger while waiting for the thicker cuts like herbed samgyupsal, galbi, and moksal.

My wife adores their fluffy steamed eggs and takes full advantage of the unlimited shrimp, which is the main reason we came here. Although the shrimp lacks seasoning, the dipping sauces make up for it. We also enjoyed the cheesy scallops and smoked duck. The smoked duck has a ham-like taste, likely due to the curing process.

The waitstaff were exceptionally attentive, promptly taking our orders and refilling our dishes. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that made my wife's birthday...

🍱 Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 of 5 The orders were served quickly, meat and side dishes complete. They were good tasting, unfortunately the chicken and some menu items weren't available.

🖼️ Ambience ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 of 5 The seats are not too comfy. You are welcome to stay for as long as you want, no time limit set. If you're looking for the Kpop feel, this might not be it. The place was relatively quiet considering there were many guests.

[𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆] I'd give the service quality a rating 4 out of 5 because of how slow it was. It was Valentine's Day so it's understandable given how you can expect that the place can get packed with customers. But I hoped that they would've prepared for the day especially that I think the number of employees didn't match the amount of tables they had in this branch.
