We went and checked in on this motel the Saturday before "Pacquiao vs. Mayweather" fight for two things: 1. They had the said event free & 2. We were already tired from our Saturday outing in Las Pinas to visit relatives.||||Honestly speaking, we were quite pensive and yet excited since this was our first time to check in at a "Motel"...but we were galvanized with the fact that SOGO has been veering away from its seedier reputation and is moving forward of reinventing its image as a family friendly "staycation" alternative.||||We opted to use one of the rooms with a drive-in garage so as to accommodate our Optimus so that he can have his well-deserved rest. The first thing that I noticed is that it lived up to its reputation of "So clean...so good". You can practically smell the strong disinfectant used to laundry the bedsheets and linens. In fairness to SOGO management, they had the basic fringes such as toiletries, slippers, etc... The room was equipped with a small (around 24in estimate) LED TV where we watched the travesty which was the Pacquiao/Mayweather mega BLAH!||||Overall, the experience was very good. We were able to rest up after a long tiring day...the only downside was the rudeness of the front desk attendant who took the calls for room services. The experience was about to be ruined, but it was their supervisor (whose number is plastered on the mirror) who saved the day by mitigating the situation. Who would have thought that he would respond at such a timely manner.||||As I have said, we...
Read moreim kind off disappointed really. we checked in yesterday around 8am. it was good. superb even cause it was just quick. my husband has some convention to attend to so me and the kids were left at the hotel. i ordered some food as the kids were hungry and we thought we'd try the food at the hotel. so we ordered chicken burger, sotanghon soup and leche flan. pretty easy right? so we waited. i was expecting that it would be delivered after about 10 minutes because it was what they're advertising. but no, after 30 minutes i called reception, first call no one pickup, second one was dropped and after trying for the 3rd time, i finally hot ahold of the receptionist. i said im wondering if our food is ready cause its already past 30 minutes. she said, i will ask if its ready because we have a lot of guests you know, and after a curt "sorry" she hang up. i was dismayed to say the least cause they're on hospitality business after all. after another 20 minutes or so, finally the food arrived and the staff just want to just give it to me and pay for it. so i ask him to put it in the table as im getting the payment ready. i then asked if that's what they usually do, they seem to me just taking for granted the comforts of their guest. so far from what it was being posted all over the room and the hotel. oh well, i may have overreacted but i guess a nice and sincere apology would have...
Read moreWe first went here on a Friday 1pm - 7pm. We chose Regular Garage room. P780 for six hours. There were mirrors on the right side of the bed and on the ceiling. Very thin bed sheets. Thin pillows. Two adult channels only, asian and western. Bathroom was clean and well maintained, adequate water flow, shower with hot water. Free comb, shampoo, toothbrush, 2 inches soap. Two thin towels provided. Rubber slippers provided but looks used. It was okay we liked the room because of the mirrors. Their club house sandwich was okay.||||We checked in an Executive Garage room(Casino themed) on another Friday. 1700+ for 12 hours. We cursed in surprise when we saw the room interior, the ceiling was fully fitted with mirrors. It looks way better than the regular garage. The bathroom has two showers, one in the jacuzzi and a separate shower. It took a LOOONG time to fill the tub. The water flow of the tub faucet was weak. There's a small safe inside the room. We ordered tonkatsu, lechon kawali and leche flan with macapuno. Tonkatsu was okay, sauce was good. Lechon kawali was terrible, my partner didn't eat it we shared the tonkatsu instead. Leche flan was too sweet and it's not good to pair with macapuno.||||Note: The room boys were quite nosy trying to get a peek...
