McCoy's Pizza House — Restaurant in Puerto Princesa

McCoy's is a homegrown restaurant in Puerto Princesa that offers tasty comfort food which were somewhat affordable (priced right between Shakey's and Greenwich). The place exuded a homey, rustic ambience, what with the dim lighting, wooden tables, white curtains and pizzas served on a parchment paper. Most of the tables were occupied with people and chatter on the Monday evening when we ate there. Standouts on the menu were the carbonara pasta (which I couldn't stop shoving in my mouth) and the sweet indulgence of the dulce de leche cheesecake (we came for this and was not disappointed). Their mojos-like potatoes were served almost potato chips thin with gravy. I do wish they had another dip for a different flavor. The pizza was cooked in a brick oven; it was okay but not very memorable. Overall, I recommend this place if you're ever in Puerto Galera and possibly want a break from all...

My brother and I ate here (SM Puerto Princesa Branch). People flock here as it boasts its pizza and pasta.

Spacious Restau with nice and neat ambience. The food is affordable for its serving. Plating is neat.

We ordered the combo meals which was plenty enough for 1, a pizza and mashed potato.

I don’t like how the gravy as it tasted like a wet paper which will definitely ruin the yumminess of the mashed potatoes.

The spaghetti’s sauce was watery which affected its flavor making it less tomato-ish. I like the soft tacos that come with it. The fried chicken was the usual friend chicken - nothing special.

Though at that time, there’s a high volume of customers. The taste and flavor of food being served should not suffer.

Possibly my last option if...

Classic cozy place in the middle of sleepy town of puerto princessa... simple rustic wooden interiors, few table chairs and rest sofa pillows and table. A couple of tables where you can remove foot ware and sit with cushions... menu is elaborate fare of pizza , pasta and few local dishes.. desserts are great too, don’t miss Oreo cheese cake... and they had an artist performing live, singing classics and new chartbusters accompanied by Guitar.. and his talent is amazing, can probably compete with any top talent in a top notch place in big city.. all in all the place is a hidden gem... a must if you are in Puerto...
