After a couple of weeks without meeting due to social events, my partner and I went to Gudo Pizzeria. The restaurant is known in the community for its value for money, food quality, and casual atmosphere.
We ordered the following:
Chicken Alfredo (₱205) The fettuccine was coated with Alfredo sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese, giving a creamy and cheesy bite. The chicken was tender enough that I could shred it with a fork with minimal effort. The onion bits added a touch of sweetness, while the black olives added some bitterness to balance the flavors.
Spaghetti with Meatballs (₱200) The spaghetti sauce was slightly sour, which my partner liked. The meatball was slightly dry.
Margherita Pizza (₱245) The crust was crispy yet chewy inside. The sauce was tangy and slightly sweet. The mozzarella was mild and creamy, while the basil leaves were slightly peppery. A bit too saucy for my liking.
I can see why this place has been a staple in the community. The food delivers in quality, and the portion sizes are generous. The trade-off is comfort, as the open setting makes the place feel quite...
Read moreIn summary, we had a BAD experience last Saturday (Feb 8th). Dusty tables - since it is a road side restaurant and it’s al fresco, tables get easily dusty and the staff do not regularly wipe them.
THERE WERE A LOT OF FLIES (Bangaw)! - we asked for the staffs’ help but they did do anything, I asked if they have candles but the staff said “ayaw po ng kandila ng management kasi hindi kami karinderia”. The restaurant should at least provide solutions not excuses.
The area becomes so noisy because of passing trucks and vehicles. It’s definitely not a relaxing environment.
Commendation on the food, it’s delicious and provides value for money. We ordered truffle pasta, all-meat pizza, and a steak.
Other notes: parking is available, the restaurant only offers canned sodas and juices, no service charge, offers...

Ordered the ribeye steak, medium-rare with mashed potatoes and additional rice since I was hungry. From the price you can't expect much as they source local beef, but it was cooked to preferred doneness and there were no sinews in the steak, which made the eating experience pretty good. It was a "pwede na" taste. Not really beefy but tender enough.
Also ordered the truffle pasta and marinara pasta with meatballs. The truffle pasta was pretty good, had that truffle taste. The marinara was Italian style even the meatballs - so expect it to be on the tart side with the fennel aftertaste from the giant meatball. They were going authentic taste this time.
Overall would like to try the other cuts of...
