Luck Garden Restaurant is located in Kanlaon St., near the Mabuhay Rotonda which serves as a boundary of Quezon City and Manila.
It is a group meal restaurant, and for customers bringing large companion, there is a round table with rotating glass sub-tables called "Lazy Susan". There is also a table for one or two persons only.
Most of the foods in the menu are moderately to high expensive in price, but the servings are larger like Luck Garden Fried Rice, which can feed two persons for P350.
Though they don't issue O.R. contrary to BIR policy, there is no service charge imposed as reflected in the order slip.
I ordered Fried Pigeon. The whole body is P650, much expensive than regular fried chicken. The taste however is different. The skin and flesh of a pigeon is tougher than the regular chicken. The taste is strong but not sweet and juicy unlike eating Peking Duck.
The cooking time of Pigeon or Kalapati takes 30 minutes unlike with regular chicken.
Overall, Fried Rice is excellent, but not much of a Pigeon (I rate it as 3 because I don't like the taste).
Other foods are delicious but I order only what is sufficient to my appetite.
Though they serve a complementary chili garlic sauce, abd mixed salt and ground peppercorn, but they don't serve service water. However, when they gave me a service water from the reception area, it uses directly from a faucet and I trace the blue tube that connects upward the ceiling as the source. I cannot trust the source of water coming from a faucet.
Parking is available but may be crowded anytime. The person-in-charge of the parking area does not allow me to leave the car if without any transaction to the restaurant, even I leave for only 3 minutes. It waa too strict.
The interior nevertheless is well-ventilated, that the aircon has cold foggy smoky air coming out and passing...

Sweet and Sour Pork - 10/10 – Tasted great.
Fried Rice - 8/10 – Decent, but could be better.
Buttered Chicken - 8/10 – Tasty, though the serving was small.
Nido Soup - 7/10 – Okay, but nothing special.
Chopsuey - 10/10 – The vegetables were fresh and well-prepared.
Watermelon - 5/10 – Not fresh, didn’t taste great.
Overall, the prices aren’t very reasonable...
Read moreYou won’t see this directly from the road, you’re going to need to turn right a bit. They have a small parking space in front of their establishment. It’s a crowded area with many vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles passing through it hanging around.
It’s almost an old fashioned ambience inside but with plenty of tables. It was not crowded when we were there for dinner.
Food is ok. Rice is properly cooked. Their soup tastes good. The lechon kawali is more like deep fried pork chop and is tough. The spareribs something didn’t look like spareribs. The pancit is really good.
It’s an affordable place though. I also ordered dimsum, it...
