What it has going for it is its brand and name recognition. Mang Larry's has been an institution at UP for quite a while now. The order placement system is also very organized. The food order is properly itemized and priced in the printed order slip.

It gets full very quickly nearing meal times. We had to wait a short while after placing our order at around 5:45 PM. Students, office workers, and tourists are the present diners when we ate there.

What I did not like was the setting and service. It did come a long way now that it has a dedicated seating area and a covered roof compared to yesteryears when it was only a stand-up kiosk. It would have been nice if they went all the way and cemented the flooring and have chosen more presentable table and chairs.

Durint the time we were present dining, we also overheard another customer having their order wrong. He ordered something around 20 sticks, but what came in the take-out bag was only around 16 sticks. It was a few sticks short.

Lastly, do not expect to get good value when eating here. The small portions of food on the sticks are a little pricey and can add up quicky with just a few...

Mang Larry's Isawan is a good place to eat "street foods", other meals, and refreshments. It deserves its iconic reputation.

The food was good. I got pork and chicken isaw, balunan, tenga and pork barbeque. The food is clean, tasty, and has no undesirable aftertaste. However, it was moderately burnt/charred (not overcooked), which I personally do not like.

Out of those I ordered, balunan and pork isaw somehow surprised me, in a delicious way. The tenga and pork barbeque was well-marinated. The manok isaw was also good, but not more than other isaws that I've had before.

On another note, the place was relatively nice. It is simple, but clean. There are also fans strategically placed for ventilation. Something to take note of, is that the ceiling height is not that friendly to tall individuals. It also opened late (~45 mins late from the indicated time in Google maps) which made the experience not as good as I'd hoped.

In summary, good food?-yes, best isaw?-nope, sulit?-yep, will be...

Mang Larry's is overrated but decent. The ambiance isn't as good as the previous locations; it is currently located in a dirt parking lot. If taken back to their previous locations, I'll easily give it another star. Furthermore, the barbecue and offals are overrated; they are good but not quite as good as some say it is online. Other commercial shops and small vendors (specially in KNL) have tastier and stronger flavored offals. However, all products they offer are clean and void of animal manure. The sauce is good and compliments the food and the pancit canton are cooked al dente. If ever that you'll dine in here, be prepared for a long queue and long wait for the food you've ordered. Seats are almost always occupied specially during the afternoon. In summary, this place is good enough if you want to enjoy clean and decent tasting...

When you think or crave for isaw, it would definitely be Mang Larry's isawan inside UP Diliman campus. I was here during the early months of pandemic. There were only 4 tables then. So I was surprised when it expanded to more than 8-10 tables and an enclosed area at that. And the gourmet Indian mango cart is inside as well. I came with my cousins about 6-7 of us. As usual long queues of cars, long queue of customers. My cousin ordered more than 15 pieces each of special pork isaw, pork isaw, chicken isaw, chicken liver, pork bbq, then a plate of kwek kwek, dynamite, calamares etc. The isaw now costs around P15 per stick. So well, they spent about 2k in all, we got to take out the rest we couldn't consume. Definitely, we always come back. Right now it's located along Jacinto street across College of Fine Arts (I think!)
