I don’t understand why they have such a high score here lol?! I don’t usually write negative reviews, no matter how bad my experience is, but this was just so, so terrible on all fronts that this was the only way for me to express my anger and disappointment.
We ate here for a last-minute late night Valentine’s dinner and we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for all our food to be completely served, when they promised a max 30-minute service.
Two of our orders that were punched in turned out to not be available BUT they only said this after we were waiting for 1 hour already. How does that happen?! There seems to be no proper system when orders are received by the kitchen.
There were other mistakes in our order all throughout the service. We ordered a cucumber lemonade drink and they served it without the lemon juice — so basically it was just cucumber water?!
To top it all off, their response to this disaster of a dinner was the worst. The waiters are not trained to handle customer complaints at all; they just walk out on you when you’re talking to them WITHOUT any acknowledgment of what you said lol and the wait staff shout at each other as their way of communicating while on the dining room floor. There is no professional decorum at all. It’s like you’re just having dinner in someone’s house, and not in a good way. This is probably the most terrible service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant.
At the height of our complaints, even though the owners or managers of the restaurant were present and could hear the issues, they never went up to our table to properly apologize or address our concerns. It was only the untrained wait staff who were facing us and talking to us, the irate customers. The lack of accountability was so disappointing. Owners should take responsibility for these things and not let their staff clean up the mess caused by their lacking leadership.
All-in-all, just the worst experience ever. A PSA to all restaurants: Don’t put up a Valentine’s promo if your kitchen, operations, and staff can’t handle the demand; save us...
Read moreWe enjoyed the food, it was so tasty and it's worth the price. Especially loved the chocolatede batirol which is on the photo. My sister said it's almost always not available every time they went there, so it was fortunate of me to have ordered it that day. It tasted better when I let the marshmallow melt in the drink than eat it separately. So if you like creamy drinks, that's how I'd recommend you to drink it. 😉 I ordered Creamy Al Pesto and it was really good, super liked the arugula on the side. My sister ordered the Alfredo (I forgot the full name of the dish), I took a bite, and it tasted good too! Their pasta servings can be good for two (2), depending on how hungry you came there. 😅 So you can also ask for 2 plates to share. Don't be shy to ask, because they actually offer it. 😁 The ambiance was nice as well, real Baguio feels, from entrance to the corners of the cafe. They even have a live band playing bossa nova music when we went there. Their staff said the customers can request songs or they can also choose to sing and the band would play. Their staff are also very kind and professional. From when we entered the place to looking for a table, they assisted us. I don't know if they do that to everyone or just because I'm a PWD, but either way, it's still nice. 😊 The one staff even spilled a drink on me while bussing out the previous customers' dishes, but she immediately apologized politely and cleaned it. We also requested to be transferred to another table if one would be vacant because our first spot was a little inconvenient if you have food to eat because the table was far from the seats. And we really appreciated it that their staff was kind enough to accommodate our request and update us immediately when the vacant table was already cleaned. 😊 For a first-time customer I definitely loved the experience, would definitely go back, and recommend it to family...
Read moreThis place is in a building named Kalayaan Centrepoint. You get to the 2nd flr. by the stairs or elevator and there you have it. It's quite cramped up, because for a business bldg., the spaces are arranged parallel wise. And so, you can see as you enter the place, that the cashier is already almost at the entrance and the refrigerator where the cakes are kept are on the side. You have to look for your corner, if you are alone. The guard at the ground floor will be the one who checks your temperature and that's it.They are not strict in the protocols so it would have to be you, who needs to take the necessary precautions because the tables are really close to each other. And the place is even made smaller by a lot of paraphernalia, decorations, etc. Well, so much for that. The food? its on the medium to the high side as you will see on the menu. I have only tried the bibingka cheesecake and their V60 coffee, since i was only there for a snack and my...Really, it's unique and good. So, it's worth the Pay! I believe that with this impression, i would be back to try the other ones. The service, well it's not exemplary but acceptable. Their comfort room has to be shared because there's only one for both 🚻. Parking is at the ground floor without pay and at the basement but be sure that it won't get filled up specially during peak hours. They have a secluded place outside as an extension of the resto, which has no aircon. Problem here is that you always hear the honking of horns and fumes of vehicles down below, which reaches up to this area since it is in the intersection of a stoplight.I suggest, that they place an electric fan in this area as it really is hot and also to drive out the smoke.
