The Porch by Casa Verde — Restaurant in Quezon City

The place is indeed, worth visiting. The parking is a little bit tricky, though. While you can already see the place itself, the entrance at the parking is small and inconspicuous. But once you're in, there's big, enough space even for several vans.

The place, it seems, to be an old house. Which was converted to this resto. The bigger part is the al fresco. While inside, you get to order in a window, with the menu above it, then they bring your orders at your table. It would really help, if they change their lights into daylight instead of the yellow ones, which casts a dimmer ambience which could dampen your experience.

The food...Really great! Each one is brought to you, freshly cooked and really hot. The mushroom soup is a must-try and it's good for sharing. One thing puzzled me, is their so called "egg roll". It's like a spring roll filled with vegetables. And, i asked the server why, it is called thus, when no trace of egg could be seen & she doesn't know also. Carbonara pasta is tasty & heavy. Grilled chicken with mash potatoes, is one good healthy choice. Only downside is they don't serve coffee. But their house blend ice tea is good as well. They could have serve it in a glass, not in plastic containers. You get this plasticky smell, maybe because the tea reacts to it. And, let me emphasize the buns, that goes with the soup & pasta. Ummm...semi sweet, soft and really tasty. Used to taste this, on hotels only. And,here they have it.

Overall experience is worth it, although not perfect.Prices are on the mid range. Better take...

Ensaymada 🧁: Buttery and cheesy perfection! This fluffy delight melted in my mouth.

Baked Spaghetti 🍝 : Comfort food at its finest! Rich, cheesy, and served piping hot.

Mac & Cheese 🧀 : Creamy, cheesy, and indulgent—perfect for cheese lovers!

Mexican Roasted Chicken 🍗 : A flavorful twist on classic roast chicken, seasoned to perfection.

Korean Ribs 🍖 : Sweet, smoky, and tender! I loved the unique marinade.

Triple Ribs Platter (Korean, Cajun, Brian) 🔥: A rib-lover’s dream! Each flavor was distinct and delicious, but the Korean and Cajun were my personal favorites and a must-try combination!

Housemade Milkshakes 🍹: Thick, creamy, and perfectly sweet! A refreshing way to end the meal.
