First time to drop by Salamangka, Eastwood with a friend.

It was after a tiring day and it’s our first decent meal where we planned to talk and relax.

What went well:

-They named the items in their menu based on Filipino folklore and the like.

-The restaurant is by the corner and it’s interesting to watch people pass by while you sit by the bar

-They have attentive and friendly staff. It was great that the waiter listened to our feedback.

What needs more improvement:

-They have this selection of shots under infusions that offers around 60php each and I picked vodka and lemon (1 shot).

Since there is a price per selection of shot, it’s understandable that it’s 1 shot = 60php.

But in the end, we were given the rack of shots and we got confused.

It’s deceiving, they should have taken out the 60php next to the names of the shot and explained that it’s a whole rack.

We gave them the feedback and off goes our P360++ to the garbage because we did not plan to drink that much.

Note: The vodka did not taste good too. Only the lime was okay

-They didn’t have chicken teriyaki and did not cross it out from the menu.

-I ordered beef teriyaki instead and it wasn’t worth the price AT ALL. It was like nilaga-ish meat with very little teriyaki.

For that price I could have gone to the resto 3 mins away and eat a way better version of chicken teriyaki for almost the same price or a little higher.

Overall, I’d like to say thank you to the friendly staff but I didn’t appreciate the overall experience. Never coming back...

Salmangka is one of the best cafe/ resto bar in Eastwood City, Manila. This is our favourite place to stay whenever we are in the Philippines. (I feel like we were chilling here almost everyday) 😅

We really love the location, the ambiance, the creativity, the lovely interior, and all the Filipino classic drinks they offer 😊 “Manananggal” is my fave but the best thing about Salamangka are the employees —here, you will experience the warmest service which deserves a big shout out! All the kuyas are so nice and friendly. They are always busy, but you will still see everyone smiling. In Salamangka, you will always feel relax while enjoying the best music, the positive vibes, and the Filipino magic from everyone there 😊 Maraming salamat po and see you again next year!

Nice hangout place with clean restroom. They have wide variations of food menu.

Ube latte was good, sweet but good!

Champorado cheesecake is their bestseller, it was worth a try.

Basque burnt cheesecake is super pricey for that small slice. It’s a lot different from other basque cheesecake Ive had. It’s not soft, not melt in your mouth. It’s like a block of cheese. Tastes good tho.

We had to sit on the big table with bench chair and no backrest, kinda uncomfy.

They were open until 2am on a...
